I agree with this route. My es2 did me going 5+ miles a day but I was 250lbs plus a back pack. So the double battery is a good idea.

With your weight, almost any adult scooter is suitable for you. Given the short travel distance, scooters with small batteries are also suitable. I would consider Ninebot scooters, as they have more reliable electronics, and the mechanical parts are also quite reliable. For example, Ninebot scooters Es series (Es1, Es2, Es4), F series(F25, F35, F45), G30, G2 (used ones can be bought for $ 300, and this would be the best solution for the money), E2. Of all the scooters listed, the Es series has a folding mechanism, which makes it easier to store it leaning against the wall, placing it on the front wheel, and using a wall mount. Other scooters can also be stored in this way, but due to the design features, they will bulge strongly from the wall, and it is not very convenient to put them on 1 wheel. Xiaomi scooters also performed well, such as the m365, m365 pro, etc. Inexpensive kukirin scooters can also be considered, but they often have mechanical problems, and the electrics sometimes fail, although due to their mass production, spare parts for them are cheaper than for other scooters.

> Ngl a lot of that sounds like copium. Copium for what? I'm not a Ninebot fanboy (I don't even *have* any Ninebots more recent than an old ES2, incidentally the worst scooter they ever made) and don't have a burning need to defend them. Feel free to hate them if you want; it's a strange hill to die on, but you do you. What I'm not getting is why you're being all butthurt about Ninebot scooters instead of just... not buying them. They're not for everyone, and in particular they're not for people looking to crack their skull open, so they're clearly not for you. We can acknowledge this without having to argue about it. > No one normal is going to strap an extra battery to their ninebot which will compromise its perceived safety. They're literally the ones people add battery to most often. You clearly haven't done a search about adding battery to M365 and G30 scooters.

I have the ES2 and the solid rubber tires suck. Uneven surfaces have made me fall several times. The range is pretty low, you can get a battery pack added for almost the price of the scooter lol and i have seen people saying the errors caused by the batteries make them inoperable. I been looking at the TurboAnt X7 Max i can get 2 for 800$ and has more range than the ES2

What do you recommend, the ninebot has 0 also and stupid all hard rubber tires that have made me fall on uneven surfaces

For that distance and weight the Xiaomi Mi 1S or Ninebot ES2 are solid budget picks that won't fall apart on you - both handle short commutes like a champ and you can usually snag them used for pretty cheap
