Ninebot Max G3
Hill climbing beast, durable, but heavy with limited range.

Running these analyses costs money. Buy through my links to help keep lights on! I may get a small commission.
I have the G3 but sadly the EU motor even unlocked with 4.2 bar tire pressure (which it quickly loses in the rear anyway lol) doesn't even reach 40kmh - fully charged. And obviously goes down from there. Hill performance is pretty good until you get to a really steep part where it gets slower and slower and after a few seconds or at a certain steepness just gives up completely. Longer ride performance can also suffer a bit I think, but nothing like with hills. Range is fine but could be a bit better, I mean the 50% bigger GT3 battery would perfectly fit plug and play! Really don't understand why they're too greedy to put that one in the G3. Same with hydraulic brakes which somehow even the GT3 doesn't have. I think if you swap it to that GT3 battery along with the external battery pack battery can be great though. Although even then it would be abt. 1200Wh, not even close the 2100Wh of the GT3 Pro, which along with all the other upgrades is why I'm considering getting it, especially the brakes! Because on my G3 they completely rusted and locked after like 2k km (have 3600 now) and still don't fully return all the way on their own causing my levers to be floppy for the first few mm and sometimes activate the digital brakes and remove any gas when I hit a bump etc. unless I manually push them back! Also my tires wobble, rear light is broken, a side reflector broke off, number plate completely broke off randomly without me noticing, brakes take a lot of force to full stop and the last 10m it feels they give up and don't give any more braking power not matter how hard I press, there's no kickstand to put my foot on except the flimsy unsprung plastic cover, the front light is really difficult to tighten to a position and have it stay there (now matter how much force I use on that shitty tiny screw it always comes loose after a few hundred km at best), rear tire loses a lot of air compared to the regular loss of the front one etc. I mean overall I'm happy with it, I just don't understand how it can have that many issues. Unnecessary software limitations aside. I think I'd miss the locking fold though, but luckily don't really need to haul it up any stairs. Maybe at the train station, although that thing is kind of its own train anyway so I don't think I'd need it a lot 😂 which is why I think it's the perfect upgrade for my use case. Mostly roads/city and a bit of offroad (mostly gravel)

Segway GT3 pro. Really an amazing scooter. It’s $2700 but I got it for $2200 brand new so it’s close to your price range.
Man I don’t think I would give it a 10/10 but I’ve been very happy with my Segway GT3 Pro. It’s just a solid, comfortable machine and while I wouldn’t call it portable I can keep it in the back of my outback and pull it out when i need it It also handles being in the grass on the side of roads like a champ and I have no issues hoping curbs and such. I’m very hard on mine and frequently hit speed bumps and hop curbs pretty roughly and haven’t had any broken parts or damaged tires I think the only argument against Segway is that there are cheaper alternatives with more bells and whistles potentially. Personally my must haves would be 1. Full suspension 2. At least 11-inch tires 3. At least a 30 mph top speed to keep up with the traffic on the 25 mph surface roads here 4. Can handle light “off road” on grass and gravel
I just upgraded from the Max G3 to the GT3 Pro. I like it a lot. I just ride in sport mode which tops out at 31mph but on a few occasions I used race mode to get around spots where the bike lane was closed. She’s heavy at 117lbs though.
Segway, GT3 Pro. Crazy range and lots of safety features like traction control, anti lock brakes. I’ve ridden quite a few luxury scooters, nothing comes close in comparison on how smooth and amazing it rides.
Yes I’ve ridden my neighbor’s GT3 Pro a few times. It’s awesome.
