As I understand the huge majority of recognition/recommendation of Xiaomi originates to this day from the M365 platform. Which unlike the late model Brightway (?) ones is not affected by that just because of timeframe for one thing, is a Seg/bot OEM product for another; and another notable maybe relevant thing is that the exit of the vendor Xiaomi itself from the US market *certainly* hasn't made the generalized xiaomioid/M365 derivative scooter any less of a presence in the US. As to Hiboy, I think I know what the deal is. Their xiaomioid frame is well known dangerous garbage, but they sell a lot of other stuff. They have clonebots that are not unfit for purpose and don't have a blemished record on here. Intermediate tire size scooters, ebikes, etc. The thing that seems the most off to me is that the Seg/bot G2 somehow got ahead of the G30. This was data from a limited timespan while the G2 *was* for sure the newer thing being hyped and the G30 wasn't, but I still question it. I don't think anyone would disagree that the G30 has a nearly sterling reputation. The G65/2 is ...A bit checkered to say the least like any of the Late Segway stuff. I do have to wonder how much real botting, astroturfing, freebies to say positive things online, or just regular zealous fanboyism, etc. there actually is behind the occasional allegation of "Segway shills/fanboys" existing. I don't think it's zero. I have been fouled or votespammed multiple times for pointing out G2 issues, or at one point P100S issues before popular opinion went formally south on those, that were/are just *facts*.

I’ve had the Segway G2 Max since October 2023. It has not needed any repairs or maintenance other than putting air in the tires.

It is a good scooter, but I don’t think it’s very good as a “first scooter” because of its power. I think the g30 or g2 would be a good first scooter, as it was the same for me

Got 2x Ninebot Max G2s. The first one I got was so good I bought a second to ride with friends. I graduated from a Ninebot F30, which was/is a great entry model. Can't recommend Max G2s enough - be patient with sales - I got the second one during a 20% discount sale on Amazon.

The g2 max is on a whole nother level than the 365.. You will love the rear wheel engine so much more than the 365 cheap front engine..It will feel like a new Cadillac compared to the 365.

Yes i own a g4...it is a cheap scooter compared to the Segway. The kukurin g2 is a level above the Segway g2 also...it has a 48v not a 36v..the battery is the biggest disappointment for me honestly...if you need a reliable scooter to get to places id go with the segway....if you just want to ride and have fun the kukurin is fine...as long as you know what you are getting.

Actually... I'm eating my words. It's not new but holy shit you could do a lot worse [https://www.segway.com.au/products/max-g2-certified-refurbished-segway-ninebot-electric-kickscooter-good-condition-minor-scratched-copy](https://www.segway.com.au/products/max-g2-certified-refurbished-segway-ninebot-electric-kickscooter-good-condition-minor-scratched-copy)

Just a mike to work shouldn’t affect the battery too much since it’s such a short distance. I ride last year on fresh snow and on frozen slush (so not sheer ice like freezing rain. A couple things, go slow, and go really really slow around corners. You might literally have to get off and turn the scooter. I found driving on fresh snow the best - same as with a car as lots of traction and nothing is packed down to icy snow. Dress super warm. Finally if you don’t have full face helmet, googles and/or a balaclava that warms your face is highly recommended. Those little snowflakes feel like bits of glass hitting your face and eyes lol

I just have a Segway max g2. Reliable. Good battery. Decent suspension. Has “traction control” which you can turn on via the app but not sure I have enough experience to have noticed a difference. G2 max is often on sale. I have about a 5km ride to work so no issues with the battery even in cold. Nice thing with the maxG2 is that I just have to carry the charging cable - and not the whole block as it’s built in. But I’ve never had an issue with having to charge at work since it’s such a short distance. I’m an older female and feel the cold so I wear snow pants and heated jacket too . Princess? Maybe. But being cold sucks and I don’t want the bulk of a thick winter coat.

Best bang for your buck for first scooter, high quality build so little maintenance required - check tires regularly, clean it up. Enough power for anything except steepest hills. YouTube how to ride scooter and avoid mistakes and good luck, i went from ninebot max g2 3k km to max g3 and it feels like my old scooter was a toy.
