"A good robovac is a life changer. Even a $350 basic S8. It is a great place to start. ... I promise you that you will not be disappointed by a basic S8. It will change your life even if it can't fit under every piece of furniture you own. ... My two S8s just finished vacuuming our entire house in about 46 minutes. ... While my floors were being cleaned, I sat comfortably on our patio in the cool shade with a slight breeze and composed my far too long response to you while sipping a diet soda and relaxing. ... I will have to spend about four minutes maintaining my two S8s. This will be my entire contribution to my home floor cleaning effort for today. Four minutes!"
"Like 500$ these robots are currently the steal of the century ... You can get a mova p10 pro ultra (cannot remove its mops), equivalent to the l40/x40 for 500$ after a discount code"
"For an open style earbud, these genuinely surprised me with their overall performance in sound at this price point. ... IMHO, these Soundpeats PearlClip Pro are probably the best I’ve heard in this under $50 price category when it comes to this style of earbuds. ... These are one of the best clip-on earbuds in this price category especially when it comes to price to performance in sound quality and feature set"

"The roborock I have kicked and smashed with my foot so many times out of anger when it doesn't collaborate, and still he rocks 4-5 yrs later and no broken parts"
"I've used it daily for at least 10 years now, probably closer to 15 and apart from the fact you need to clean it periodically, it's still works like brand new."
"One huge leg up for a Shark over Roomba is that the brush roller is similar to a vacuum (e.g. hard plastic), whereas the roomba is a plastic roller with a rubber cover that is DESTROYED by dog fur and you have to frequently replace."

"The battery power lasts about 5-6 days for me (note that I use it a lot throughout the day), so I only bring in my scooter one night every week."
"the battery size (and therefore range) is about the max I’d want for a commuting scooter. ... Range is more than enough for me. ... realistically it’s about 20 miles at 19 mph and for this type of vehicle, that is more than enough. ... Scooters are really best for ~5-10 mile rides."
"Battery is solid and longest I have done is 48km on a full charge, and it still had some juice left."

"You can flash SHFW (scooter hacking firmware) onto Segways in minutes, unlocking control of speed/power/etc. ... No tools required (if you join the Telegram). ... As long as you follow the guide, it is highly unlikely to damage anything. ... G30P - (up to 1600w/28mph+)"
"there's a MASSIVE aftermarket of parts/mods to ... you can unlock the controller entirely, and crank ujp the speed/power output pretty substantially. all for free. ... the components are very overbuilt and can take a good amount more power/speed. ... If you want suspension, thete's bolt on kits available for it that are really good."
"Scooter used was a few hundred bucks, batteries about 2-300$ and other random parts and connectors about 50$. The time is all you need to create an absolute monster.... With a lil ingenuity he could have a real tank for cheap"

"Tires are very reliable , had few nails go in from riding around lake shore dr, didn’t even need to fix the tires because it has self sealing future."
"The tires are tubeless and you can add sealant (same used in tubeless bicycles) if you ever have a small leak or anything. ... I added sealant to the rear tire due to a very slow leak and it’s now been fine for years."
"it has 10 inch tubeless tires which are far more reliable than tube tires ... 8 inch tires are too small to roll over lips pulling into parking lots and the solid tires will beat you to death"

"Left earbud dying after just 30 mins. ... if I get the 5s I won’t be doing any of the updates to avoid this happening again 😭"
"I have the wfxm4's and overnight they developed a battery issue and now they are useless. ... Not sure if it effects the 5s but it's really put me off buying more."

"I just wish it had a more compact fold, that thing takes up my entire trunk. ... I just bought a bigger SUV because I couldn’t have a stroller and groceries in the car at the same time."
"Found it so cumbersome and heavy."
"It’s bulky and heavy so I avoid loading it into the car and opt to use a carrier when we’ve driven places instead."

"No suspension is up to personal preference in my opinion; it’s going to be less maintenance and less things to go wrong, but it can be a rough ride when hitting bumps in the road."
"It has two flaws: ... no suspension. ... The only thing that does make me go "aw, crap" is cobblestones, but that happens on every scooter and bicycle I have, including the dual-suspension scooter and the mountain bike."
"No suspension tho"

"Inclines of 10-15° would result in a top speed of 14-17km/h at full battery, whereas a short incline of 20-25° reduced me to 4-7km/h. At inclines of 30° I was completely stopped even in sport mode. ... This isn't going to be what I'd consider commuter viable for anyone over 75kg - unless they live in dead flat suburbs."
"the G2 is NOT good for hills. It slows a ton."

A ninebot g30lp/p isn’t heavy, I have a p and compared to my friends single motor 800w it’s lightwork going up 10-20 stairs, not easy but not hard
The trusty ninebot max. Good size including wheels, one of the safest and good range. Power brick is built into the deck so you only need to carry a small cable in your bag if you want to charge at work
I have a max G30P it’s amazing. Easy do 10 miles in sport. It’ll do 16mi with my 220lb but on it in sport on one charge. I also love that it’s very easy to charge with the cable, I bought a second cable to carry with in case I need to charge on the go. Now I see they came down in price I may grab another.
Yes the g30lp is smaller by a bit and a smaller battery. Range on the g30lp should still be good for college. If u can swing the g30p it’s really a solid choice. Size of rider matters as well I had to get that model I am 6’2” the little ones don’t work for me. Oh also the charging is a little different I believe the g30lp uses a brick charger while the g30p can use either a brick charger or the built in charger via cable. It’s the one I prefer. I have 6k miles on this scooter and only have had to do maintenance, replace a tire a fender and a throttle. It’s been very good, rides well even in weather. Hope this helped good luck with ur purchase and congrats on the college acceptance.
Yes both height and weight play into it and the smaller ones don’t feel as steady being larger. The g30p is almost to small the newer versions like the g2 and g3 r a wee bit larger but of course like 1k price tag oof. The g30p tho just fits for me at 6’ 2” 220lbs. Gonna cost a wee more for the g30p but that’s ok. Look at the G2 tho price may be similar rn idk haven’t looked in a bit.
I think E-Bike is much safer. I drove my g30 for one winter to work because i had no other option. Man i remember sometimes when i drove over ice and felt my wheel spinning on ice.... it was a hella scary feeling.
I’d go with the [Segway Ninebot](https://www.reddit.com/r/Calidad_Precio/comments/1j2ltqy/best_electric_scooters_for_college_in_2025/). It’s got great range, solid speed, and rides super smooth. Perfect for getting around campus without worrying about charging all the time. Check out [this post.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Calidad_Precio/comments/1j2ltqy/best_electric_scooters_for_college_in_2025/) Hope is helpful! :D
Lots of used segway g30's and g2's on the market since the g3 shipped this week. My advice, save an extra 100 and pick up one of those, or come up with a good sob story and try to sweet talk one for 200 lol
My first scooter was max g30 for 400. I test drove it and inspected it prior to purchase, and it still works perfectly after moderate usage and zero maintenance. Buying new is great, but if we're trying to extract max value per dollar, the used market will win in this price range. That is, of course, assuming you possess the bare minimum skill set to prevent yourself from being ripped off.
Funny enough, there is an overheating flaw. I actually loved that scooter but turns out it will melt cables on hills. I’m not saying don’t buy it, it was a great scooter and I loved it, but after a certain amount of time it just can’t handle hills for some reason. (I had 2 and both had the same issue)
Bout 14 on Sport limited to 20mph Daily commute mostly flat with one steep climb at the end of the return trip. The hill totally stops my G30 but the G3 maintains speed all the way up and loses 3mph on the last few yards at the highest steepest part.
Ninebot Max G3 is IPX6 and it’s battery is IPX7 Not the highest but quite good. I also have the G30 and after a full year of daily use in all weather it has zero signs of moisture inside.
Not for that price. It’s a great scooter, very durable and reliable. But that’s high mileage and it doesn’t have suspension. $250 or similar
Just looked at Amazon, the Segway g30p is $449. Its a tank of a scooter. Built to last, and rarely has issues. Its not a scooter thats built for speed but to get you from point A to point B.
Not really in terms of snow, but I found the ninebot g30p very reliable in the rain
If you're considering the F3, also consider the g3, at least it was a black friday sales for $999. But with that said, the g30p, while I think the most reliable of them, will travel in pretty much any weather, it does lack in power. Meaning, if I'm going up a hill, even an insanely small hill, it drops quickly to like 9mph. So also bear that in mind.
Segway ninebot g30p. Not the fastest but extremely well built, great in the rain. You just don't problems with this scooter
unsure on that front, but I'm about 230lb also and have had zero issues with it other than 1 flat tire in 2yrs. Real world range is around 15-20miles at pretty much max speeds
Amazon has ot for $499. I've seen it there for $449 too
You want a upgraded G30 max, segway has other high end models they are going to charge you much more for with some of those features. Some things like battery replacement are anti consumer to lock you into expensive repairs or new sales but there is some tinge of the truth when they say they cant risk consumers buying 3rd party battery packs and blowing up their scooters. When they sell these to a third party and that third party will be responsible for the damage should they source poor replacement batteries.
If segway makes it easy or a supported operation to change the battery then they will be seen to bare more responsibility for any issue that comes up from swapping batteries. There is of course a simple fix for your problem. Buy a G30 Max an then pay a fabricator to add in a quick swap battery option. There are plenty of videos on how to remove a battery. But you will have voided your warranty reducing any exposure Segway could incur should your hot swap system end poorly.
