Yup! The P100S is a good example. It's gone in the market now and replaced by GT1 (at price point). Due to the massive design flaw and backslash on after sales support. And even the early batch of GT2, Max G2 has reported issues. So the best advice is wait at least half - one year after a model is released to see people's review (not from YouTuber)
r/ElectricScooters • Segway G2 Max vs ZT3 Pro ->Por favor no compres P100S tiene un desperfecto en el guardabarro trasero, se afloja con el uso, la barra del manubrio se rompe con el tiempo.. ya pase por eso...
r/ElectricScooters • Segway G2 Max vs ZT3 Pro ->I love my p100s, but it is heavy, awkward, and going into a box to have the recall work done. My wife would have killed me if I broke my arm on it. The killer greatness of the P100S is flying up big hills without having to kick.
r/ElectricScooters • Which one for a first scooter? ->I've owned 2 Segway scooters, and one Nami. The G30LP is still going strong years later. [P100S](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEbq8KIHjWEeTRHG8qxUqGGyHFP5Yax3s&si=lv9XryygdKBMkMAW) lasted 400 miles. Nami is at 2650 miles. Just like the day I bought it, but better with upgrades. Segway has some decent product lines, and some bad ones. Overall I don't like all the plastic they use, and the suspension is very lacking. The Burn-E2 makes all Segway scooters look/feel like toys as far as I'm concerned.
r/ElectricScooters • What are some good scooter brands that produce reliable products with good customer support? ->I owned a p100s. Had to return after 15 days. Was garbage. G30lp has been super reliable, still have it. Got my kid a ZT3 to upgrade from LP. The zt3 and p100 are both covered in plastic, feel cheap. Time will tell if the zt3 is any good, the G2 has been around for a while. There was a problem with the internal charger going bad, make sure that's resolved.
r/ElectricScooters • Which one for a first scooter? ->Unfortunately I used to own a P100s. Fortunately I bought it on Amazon & it died within 15 days.
r/ElectricScooters • Segway G2 Max vs ZT3 Pro ->p100s has gotten me around a 65km round trip. don't think I need to go any longer than that.
r/ElectricScooters • Do people still buy name brands? ->What is so bad about the P100S? It looks nice and the nfc is also cool imo. Only bad thing is that its offsale rn
r/ElectricScooters • Segway G2 Max vs ZT3 Pro ->Yeah, these pieces of crap arent available anyways. I snacked the p100se from a nearby shop already and let someone make the speed up to the one of the p100s. No issues yet.
r/ElectricScooters • Segway G2 Max vs ZT3 Pro ->We've seen posts like this in the past. The reality is, you don't need a scooter with an 80 mile range, even if you think you do. Scooters typically max out around 20 mph, unless you get a high performance one that will do 30 or even 40mph. I have a P100S that will do 30, but realistically I'm almost never going that fast. Going 30mph while standing up is unnatural, to say the least. At that speed you really need full motorcycle safety gear. Full face helmet, body armor, wrist guards, moto boots, etc. So even if you were to somehow *average* 40mph on a scooter, which would be a feat in itself, that's still two full hours of riding in a standing position to go 80 miles. If you're averaging lower than 40mph, or if your scooter won't even go that fast, it's going to take you even longer. At 20mph that's 4 hours of riding. Some people can tolerate standing and riding longer than others, but speaking for myself, it ceases to be fun and starts to become uncomfortable at about one hour. Your feet get tired from the standing, your legs get tired from absorbing the shocks and maintaining the riding position, and your hand gets tired from holding the throttle. So if you're new to scootering, you probably should just rent one for about an hour and really get a feel for how scootering feels to you, before you decide to go for a monster scooter with ridiculous speed and range.
r/ElectricScooters • how do i extend a scooter's range? ->Tell me you've never ridden a scooter for an hour without saying you've never ridden a scooter for an hour
r/ElectricScooters • how do i extend a scooter's range? ->I was in the same boat. Get a Segway P100s, I bought other ones and finally landed there
r/ElectricScooters • 1 Mile Commute to work, 275lb rider, what scooter? ->What's your budget and country? That makes a huge difference. Overall, Segway-Ninebot is the biggest company and they have a range of scooters at all budgets. You won't get the best value for a dollar but you'll have an acceptable warranty and a large community of users.
r/ElectricScooters • Best brand for E Scooters? ->Yeah Segway is the least risky option. You can also look at Niu, although none of their kick scooters have rear suspension so long rides on rough pavement can be tiring. If your roads aren't very smooth I would strongly recommend a scooter with front and rear suspension. keep in mind that advertised range is much shorter than real life range unless you have perfect conditions and ride at slower speeds.
r/ElectricScooters • Best brand for E Scooters? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
