get zt3 yeah it's much faster and more dangerous but g2 is not enough
r/ElectricScooters • Which one for a first scooter? ->My almost 9 y/o doesn't care for the scooter, so I have been riding with my 11 y/o. He said he was having a great time when we took them to Jack in the Box to get him tiny tacos. It got me thinking, I might return these for something like the ZT3 Pro. I now want one but with more power, and range, and designed for off-road but I also want my kids to go with me. I might buy them the ZT3 Pro and something with more power and even more range for myself.
r/ElectricScooters • Recommendation for 14yr old daughter - Niu/GoTrax/Hiboy ? ->The ZT3 has an extra $50 off coupon code for Black Friday on the Segway website, making it $899: ZT50OFF For that price, I’m definitely buying one and my wife can have my G2.
r/ElectricScooters • Which one for a first scooter? ->I just had to make the same decision a couple of weeks ago, the G2 Max vs the ZT3 Pro. The only reason I chose the G2 is because I live upstairs in an apartment, and the ZT3 is too heavy to carry up and down the stairs (it weighs 65lbs, whereas the G2 weighs 50lbs). But if I had a garage where I could just roll it in and out I would have bought the ZT3. That said, I’m totally happy with the G2, smooth ride, great distance, fast enough, great features, very nice scooter.
r/ElectricScooters • Which one for a first scooter? ->Zt3. It's fucking amazing bro
r/ElectricScooters • Which one for a first scooter? ->If you get the g2, you're gonna wish you bought the zt3. You know the answer.
r/ElectricScooters • Which one for a first scooter? ->Get the ZT3. You’re gonna want the suspension and comfort not too far into getting your first scooter. That’s the mistake I made with not getting a suspension equipped scooter as my first. Don’t even bother listening to the G2 comments, you’re gonna want the larger platform even if it does weigh slightly more.
r/ElectricScooters • Which one for a first scooter? ->Honestly, as long as you replace the standard stuff like brakepads, brakelines, and tires you should be perfectly fine coming from a brand like segway. Trust me the bumpy rides get old fast and you're gonna regret it a lot.
r/ElectricScooters • Which one for a first scooter? ->Check out the ZT3 Pro
r/ElectricScooters • Best Electric Scooter for NYC Commuting ->The ZT3 is good for someone who uses it casually and likes all the fancy features it comes with. There is a ton of plastic on this scooter. The suspension is pretty stiff IMO. For the cost you can get something faster/more range/dual motor that doesn't come with all the fancy features. I got one for my teenager.
r/ElectricScooters • Which Scooter? Segway ZT3, Ausom Leopard DT1 Pro, or GoTrax GX1 ->If you want reliability get the G2. ZT3 shares many design traits with the p100 (was recently recalled) Will take years to know if zt3 is reliable
r/ElectricScooters • Which one for a first scooter? ->I owned a p100s. Had to return after 15 days. Was garbage. G30lp has been super reliable, still have it. Got my kid a ZT3 to upgrade from LP. The zt3 and p100 are both covered in plastic, feel cheap. Time will tell if the zt3 is any good, the G2 has been around for a while. There was a problem with the internal charger going bad, make sure that's resolved.
r/ElectricScooters • Which one for a first scooter? ->I have both of them. If you have to carry it at all, I would recommend the Max G2. I was quite concerned about the infamous overheating but I've never encountered it. It has been utterly reliable and it just works, really well. I ride a lot with my family so we have a mix of scooters and I pre-ordered the ZT3 because my sis has a dual 1000w china clone and she just smokes me even when only using a single motor and I got tired of being left behind. The ZT3 suspension is notably better than the Max G2 but if the worst you're dealing is some bumpy sidewalk, either will do just fine. The ZT3 has increased ground clearance, markedly better acceleration and improved top speed but is appreciably larger in every dimension and as others have noted, its range is disappointing for the weight. The single biggest feature on the ZT3 that appeals to me is the proximity unlock... So convenient. The G2 fits fairly well in the back of an X5, the ZT3 requires laying a seat down to get it in. As others have noted, the ZT3 has some mildly ridiculous looking plastic trim that makes it appear tacky, the G2 is just business and classy. Hope that helps. *edited for grammar
r/ElectricScooters • Which one for a first scooter? ->The ZT3 is so new I haven't had time enough to assess reliability beyond initial impressions. On the surface, very much like the G2. Fit and finish is top notch, no play in any joints, everything fits right and gaps are tight.
r/ElectricScooters • Which one for a first scooter? ->Depende que tipo de ride quieres. El ZT3 Pro es una bestia en comparación del bebe MaxG2. Yo prefiero el ZT3.
r/NinebotMAX • F2 Pro or F3/F3 Pro - Looking to buy the first scooter ->ZT3 way too heavy for what you get IMO, also does not have a proven track record of reliability yet.
r/ElectricScooters • Which one for a first scooter? ->Especially when you consider that with other brands you can really get A LOT more of escooter in the 65lb range (dual motor, 1kWh+ battery, etc.). Feels like they just padded this one with a brick or smth.
r/ElectricScooters • Which one for a first scooter? ->Weight is a big one, with the ZT3 Pro you're looking at almost 30kg, which is a bit "meh" relative to its specs. Also is a brand new design, unlike the G2 which builds over its predecessor the G30 and seems fairly reliable so far (6700km on mine despite a couple spills and making it taste a curb).
r/ElectricScooters • Segway G2 Max vs ZT3 Pro ->Remember that the claimed range on ALL scooters, even from reputable manufacturers is BS. It's based on an ideal set of conditions and rider decisions that will never ever be replicated in the real world. Cut the claimed range in half and you'll be very close to the actual range. If you're some combination of light, slow, and avoid any kind of an incline you might get 60%. A gravel road is pretty light duty off road so any quality scooter with suspension and non solid tires will do just fine. Lots of people recommending one of the Wolf variants and that's not a bad choice. They're good scooters and good quality/performance for the money. My only hesitation is that they have MORE off road capabilty than you need, which isn't in itself a bad thing, but they are big bulky and heavy, so if portability is an issue you might want to consider that. Honestly, any of the scooters that you listed is going to do fine. If the rest of your riding is going to be on the street, I might lean more towards the Mukata or one of the higher spec Mantis models if you like Kabbo. More biased for street riding in a lighter, more nimble package with a lower center of gravity at the cost of suspension travel. Yume is hard to beat in terms of bang for the buck, but they cost less and it shows up in the fit and finish as well as some of the components, like using generic battery cells. Really good value for the money, just a little bit rough around the edges. "Built like a tank" also means "heavier than it needs to be." Still, they tend to give you a generous helping of scooter for your money. I like Segway, but I don't think they have a model that works well for your use case. They just released a model called the ZT3 Pro, which can be had on sale for about $950, but it's a single engine (fairly stout, but still only one) with a firmware limited top speed of 25. Some very nice features, like traction control and big 11 inch self healing tires, beefy shocks and some bells and whistles. In an ideal world at some point theyll release a dual motor version of this model. Other than the P100, Segways have great build quality, features, reliability and ergonomics. None of these things really show up on a performance datasheet and judging strictly by that metric and factoring in cost, they're midpack. I have a GT2 which is the 6th scooter I've owned and I really like it, but it probably isn't the best choice here. It's heavy, not particularly cheap and while the suspension is fantastic, it's more set up for the street. You can get about the same performance from a wolf warrior x for almost $1000 less and you're only giving up a little bit in terms of performance in a package with more of an off road bias. The GT1 is the single engine version that's still good for 38 mph, but still heavy and more of a street machine. A gravel roads and trail riding are well within its capabilities and the ride quality and stability is sublime. Still, single engine. For off road, I would rather have two smaller motors rather than one big one.
r/ElectricScooters • How “capable” of an off-road scooter would I need for this drive way? ->What's your budget and country? That makes a huge difference. Overall, Segway-Ninebot is the biggest company and they have a range of scooters at all budgets. You won't get the best value for a dollar but you'll have an acceptable warranty and a large community of users.
r/ElectricScooters • Best brand for E Scooters? ->Yeah Segway is the least risky option. You can also look at Niu, although none of their kick scooters have rear suspension so long rides on rough pavement can be tiring. If your roads aren't very smooth I would strongly recommend a scooter with front and rear suspension. keep in mind that advertised range is much shorter than real life range unless you have perfect conditions and ride at slower speeds.
