I just received the teewing z4, and it's fantastic. As I looked around and did quite a lot of research, I felt like it was the most quality and wattage I could find under $2k, with the dirt bike style front forks. Zsnake makes a similar one for cheaper, and people seem happy with that company. Oneca, tigaflop, and foholo all have large scooters around 1500 that seem like amazing deal considering the specs. Edit: Just realized you said you wanted a light scooter and im suggesting 100lbs monsters. Hope you find one
Don't hold back. Get one thats going to spook ya at first so you dont feel like you need to move up after a couple months. I recently got the teewing z4. Its got enough shocks to eat most bulbs and 13in tires. Didn't seem like many scooters at 8000w had 13 in tires. Most were 11, and I wanted something that could go off the road. Im very happy with my purchase
If I had to do it over again under $2k I'd probably go nanrobot n6. It gets you into a 72v scooter and the chassis/ suspension look decent. You can always put different tires or shocks on it. I went with a teewing z4 and the front suspension sucks, it's only a spring without a damper and it wants to buck the handlebars out of my hands on large bumps. Trying to find a replacement for the front suspension is proving difficult
It's got about 200 miles on it so far. I lubricated the seals with silicone lubricant and they move just fine but I took the fork apart and there are only coil springs in each leg, no actual damping to slow the rebound. It's like a pogo stick and pretty terrifying to hit a bump at 40mph. Going to try to mount kaabo gtr suspension legs (looks like they actually have oil valving to slow rebound) or machine some triple clamps to adapt a different fork.
Bone dry, and there's no actual damper cartridge inside the fork. Hence why I'm hell-bent on replacing the suspension
