I have both the teverun blade gt2 60v35ah and the fighter mini pro with bosh motors. They are both awesome and alot of fun. I do prefer the blade gt2 because of the extra range and since it's bigger it's more comfortable for longer rides. The fighter mini pro's problem is it really needs a steering dampener. The steering is just way to loose and gets stressful when going faster while the blade gt2 is always stable and feels alot safer at speed. I actually have a few of the blades, some with the offroad tires and we've gone on some nasty offroad trails not made for scooters and we managed... going slowly. And it's brought my 200lbs up some super steep hills. It's a really great scooter. Fighter pro is more portable and lighter but better off planing on adding a steering dampener to make it more enjoyable. I wouldn't consider getting a gotrax personally. Teverun parts are also easy to get for cheap on AliExpress.
I too just picked up a new scooter ( first time user ). After reading this sub for a few weeks about how every brand is awful, i settled on a Teverun Blade GT2 Plus. I do not regret my decision.
I live in the SF bay area, if you really want to replace a car, you need a scooter that can do 50+ mph with a lot of range. Ive been pretty happy with my 52 mph teverun blade gt2+, ive ridden it all over SF. Twin peaks, golden gate park, china town, coit tower, candlestick park, Embarcadero, ocean beach, it will do 30+ up any hill in SF.
I have a teverun blade gt2+ 60v 35ah. Its been great for 4000 miles. Has 35-40 miles of range at 30mph.
Nami scooters are decent, but there are significantly better options. My teverun gt2 is sold for only $100 more than your nami, but it is better in nearly every performance category. 18 mph faster and 25% more watts of peak power per motor. 60v system at the same amp hour rating, so 200+wh of battery capacity, and less reduction of your top speed due to voltage drop as you run the battery down. Not to mention the bigger 11in tires, I won't go back to riding 9s, less safe, slower, worse ride quality. But hey, your scooter is ten pounds lighter than mine, which I would definitely appreciate if I had to lift my scooter frequently. Namis are pretty reliable scooters if you dont count the ones with the CF stem that shatters or the ones with the brake sensor issues. Scooters are basically simplified shitty motorcycles, no chain or transmissions because of the hub motors. You could even take the mechanical brakes off, electric unicycles only have regen brakes, and they do just fine. Outside of manufacturing defects, design flaws, and impact damage from crashes, an electric scooter should easily last many thousands of miles. My scooter has 3000 so far. Nothing has needed fixing other than crash damage. But most people dont need or want a 50+ mph scooter, so what do I know. Its still a perfectly good ride, and im sure you'll have many happy miles on it. Even though its not crazy fast, I would buy a steering damper for it. Dampers prevent a variety of situations that could lead to you getting hurt, the scooter too. Do you have a full face helmet yet? I have crashed my scooter at just about your top speed twice, broke my collarbone, and fractured my pelvis. Im super thankful that I was wearing a moto helmet and leather armored jacket at the time.
I second this, I love my blade gt. I think its absolutely the best 50+mph <100lbs scooter, I went with it because 100lbs is my hard limit for carrying up a flight of stairs without hurting myself. You can charge up to 20a, much higher than most scooters under $4000, I've done 15a charging many times. It has a steering damper included, good shocks and a lot of customization, each gear can be customized for speed, power, ebrake, and more. I have nearly 4000 miles on mine, and Im super hard on it, I even do racing events on it, no issues so far. With a wider bar and PMT tires, these things absolutely rip.
Inmotion climber is the one, ninebot scooters are weak, and dont even consider appollo. If you can afford it, you should really consider a 60 or 72v scooter like the teverun GT2, they are like actual vehicles for adults to use to commute, not fancy toys like the cheaper scooters. Not everyone wants to ride st 50 mph, but a big fast scooter is so much safer and more capable even at 15mph. I owned a vsett 9+, and it felt much more dangerous at its top speed of 32 than my teverun feels at 50+mph But the inmotion climber is fine if youre on a budget, I actually just did a 23 mile round trip ride with another redditor who owns a climber and he made it back with 15% left. He lives in San Francisco, so it must be fine on the hills
For me, yeah. I have no idea what your size is or level of physical ability. Ive had to carry my nearly 100lb teverun up about 3 flights when the elevator was down at the train station. If you have access to a gym, take a bench press bar and add weight to it to match the weight of the scooter, then lift that and walk around with it to see how it feels. Scooters are awkward to carry, but a bench bar is pretty similar in weight distribution, so its a good simulation.
There are much better specced scooters for the money, only reason they sell any is because ESG shills for them. If youre on a budget go for an Ausom scooter, they have the best price to performance/features, they sell a scooter for 600 that will hit 28mph. If you want something high performance get a teverun, the blade gt2 is fantastic, I have 4k miles on mine.
Im pretty sure theyre hiring, not my company which folded, but spin or lime. Thing is that they absolutely suck ass compared a premium 60 or 72v personal scooter, theyre always half. busted and janky too. And you cant ride them crazy or you get fired. Get McDonald's job and save $1500 for a teverun GT2. Mine is at 4000 miles despite being heavily abused and crashed several times. Still works flawlessly
You can get my scooter, the bade gt2 with a smaller battery for 1700. Teveruns are well built, and have some nice features. Even if you dont care to go 50+ mph, its cool that the scooter can do it. Im coming up on 4000 miles on mine.
It depends but keep in mind that you can get 35 mph and 40 miles of range but not both at the same time. Most scooters will only get the 40 miles of real world range if you’re 125 pounds and going maybe 15 mph on flat road. But realistically speaking, your best option is probably going to be the Teverun blade gt2 you can probably get away with the regular GT two with the 26ah battery but you might want to stretch your budget to around 2400 to get the GT 2+ if you want to be absolutely sure you can get 40 mph.
My preference would be something like the Teverun blade gt2 or gt2+. Not a fan on the build quality and design on the Obarter. It can be kind of annoying to do maintenance on. Those folding mechanisms are not very good. And honestly, that one along with many of the other scooters on Amazon do not mention the brand of the batteries because they usually bottom of the barrel. If you’re lucky, they are using mid grade Chinese cells. And if you are unlucky, the batteries are built with recycled cells. Not really something you can count on for longevity in my experience. Also just keep in mind. I’m not sure if the experience with scooters but typically the range Smith are a fantasy and typically something more realistic is about 50% of the advertised range is common using a mix of average speeds. Just something to keep in mind.

I really like the Teverun blade gt2. 11 inch tubeless tires along with quick release plugs for the motors means that maintenance tire changes is easy when needed and you shouldn’t deal with flat tires as much because of the tubeless tire. Hydraulic brakes also means there’s very low maintenance because the brake pads auto adjust as they wear. It has a NFC key, but there is literally no real measure against theft besides a Ulock. Most NFC systems can be bypassed by replacing the controller or display. That is across the board so it doesn’t really provide that much a deterrent against real thieves, but it does prevent teenagers and stuff from trying to turn it on or mess with it. It’s $1600 and it’s honestly the best you can get in that price range without having to get closer to 2200 or 2400.
The biggest thing for me is that it’s fairly simple to get spare parts if you need them and it shares a decent amount of cross compatibility with parts from their other lineup of the fighter 11 and fighter supreme, like the swinging arms or suspension.
Play the love of everything stay the hell away from used kaabo scooters. Some of their entry level options like the mantis King were not too bad. But the wolf, King GT and that level were freaking awful. The folding mechanism is ass. And they are a nightmare of electrical gremlins and the warranty support is awful. There’s a reason they were dropped by distributors in North America. So many warranty problems that they would ignore and refuse to honor by sending parts. You’re honestly pretty close to being able to get a Teverun fighter supreme ultra. But unless you really need the 60 amp power battery you would be fine with something like the fighter 11+. Or a more affordable option with a similar top speed would be the blade GT 2. You could get the blade GT2+ if you want the 35ah battery which would be closer to your budget of $2500. Very solidly built. And my favorite thing is that typically the customer support from the distributors or from the brand itself are pretty good. Fairly easy to get parts if you have an issue for some reason.
I’m not sure if the range is particularly bad given the size and power. But typically you should expect around 50% of the advertised range to be a realistic estimate depending on your speed and weight. The vast majority of advertised range estimates are produced with a 150 pound user going about 15 mph on flat Road. So if you’re a lot heavier than that or going uphill, the range does decrease a fair bit. If you’ve seen people get 25 miles of range they’re almost certainly not doing that at full 35 + miles per hour. Especially not on a 52 V battery. You do have to slow down to about 20 or 25 mph. If you wanna get close to 25 miles of range. If you can afford $1600 I’d recommend the Teverun blade GT 2. It’s a 26ah battery but it’s 60V which gives it a fairly bigger WH size compared to a 52v battery. Remember the WH is always the voltage multiplied by the amp hours. I would really recommend trying to stretch your budget or saving up for longer if possible. 1200 is sort of in that sweet spot where scooter are a bit more expensive than a lot of the cheaper Segway models, but you really do have a few compromises in battery size and build quality in some aspects. In my opinion $1500-$1600 is the sweet spot at the moment where you get the most performance and range for what you spend. And once you start spending more than that, you’re really getting more power and range at the expense of weight.
Honestly, you got a lot of options at that budget. The biggest thing is hydraulic breaks, which make maintenance easier and tubeless tires which helped to prevent flats. My recommendation would be the Teverun blade gt2. The main thing I like is it has a lot of nice features to make maintenance easier. And you have a lot of control through the screen or the app to adjust the power and acceleration to be exactly what you want so it’s not overpowering and it feels smooth for whatever your skill level. The 11 inch tires should handle gravel much better. It can go 50 mph but what I like is that means it will go 25 to 30 very easily even when you’re on low battery. And it means that if you still want to cruise around 25 mph, then it will still feel perfectly smooth, but you’ll get a lot more range. It’s also $1600 sometimes even a bit less depending on the sale. It’s basically a very good sweet spot of price to performance without getting into something that’s ridiculously crazy. It’s a very big improvement over the common $1000 options they get you more speed than some of the cheap scooters on Amazon but it’s still retains good options without skimping on things like safety related parts. I’d say it’s a good option if you’re trying to upgrade and not want to get something new for another three or four years. Typically if you get something that just goes 25 mph or is only a very slight incremental upgrade you end up getting bored or wanting to upgrade too soon.

It’s hard to describe but getting something that 60 or 72 V does feel like a world of difference compared to 52 V. They’re simply more acceleration available if you need it. And generally speaking, the batteries are going to be bigger and more efficient, even when they are at lower percentage. Honestly, if you look up Apollo, you’ll see plenty of people having issues with their scooters and then getting for customer support. I’m not a fan of them very much. Inmotion is honestly not that much better but that’s mainly on their electric unicycle side of the market. Honestly, these days I’d be more likely to recommend something like the Teverun 11+ or the blade gt2 if you want something in that class of scooter. The main reason I recommend them is because they have a lot more adjustment over the individual power and acceleration setting of each motor individually. This should not be underestimated because it makes it a lot easier to fine-tune things and get the acceleration and top speed that you want on each gear setting. Makes it easy to limit the power if I’m on a bike path with a lot of pedestrians or in increase for my normal usage.
If your wife’s scooter feels different even though it’s the same model it might come down to the tires. Even if they have the same tires a lot of times the cheaper options have a lot more variability in how balanced they are. I bet you if you put your scooter elevated on a chair so you could spin it with the motors in the air. You’ll notice more vibration on your tires. Sometimes lowering the air pressure and then increasing a couple times can help balance the bead a bit more. And sometimes using little magnetic weights the same way as you would balance a motorcycle tire can also be pretty effective.
Honestly, the biggest thing is going to be the shop that you purchased from in terms of warranty support and source for parts. It’s very hard to have confidence that they’re gonna be around to still be able to provide parts at a reasonable price. Teverun seems like a solid option even if the shop you buy it from is not the best because luckily almost every part seems readily available at a good price from AliExpress. So you have options. 7620r seems pretty great although getting the later version seems better, especially if you need to deal with the steering dampener. Inmotion, I would only not recommend because I’ve seen their terrible customer support on their electric unicycle side of the business. They also seem to be discontinuing in someway the RS so I will be confident for parts. RX7 on paper seems like a great scooter for the price, but I’ve also seen pretty terrible customer support from roadrunner and I know a few different scooter shops where I live and they seem to suffer a lot from electrical gremlins. Teverun I wouldn’t say it’s perfect, and there may be some bias because they typically see the more higher end versions. But the friends that I know at shops have those as their personal ride and don’t really seem to have as many mysterious issues if that makes sense. Like with randomly dying controllers or motors with failing hall sensors. Stuff that doesn’t have a very clear physical damage component to it. Lastly, I think if you search on this sub, I think there is very recently someone who purchased that same scooter from Wilson’s, who didn’t have the best experience out of the box, but the shop did get him a replacement with an a decently reasonable time. So although it’s a crummy situation to be in at the very least, I think that’s the sort of experience you would want if you have issues. If you’re in New York, maybe you would want to consider these guys since they seem more local and I have heard decent things about them online. Although I always recommend doing your own research. https://www.speedwayridersnyc.com/shop/fighter-supreme-7260r-electric-scooter/?srsltid=AfmBOooXYrjru0kYSmHevL7m4C0PzwPrjMb61AabsevgXnvHJWmH3qRU
Generally, I prefer Teverun and that one is a decent option. I think the only thing holding it back is that it does use tubes which means it could be somewhat annoying to do a tire or tube change. The motor cable also doesn’t have a quick disconnect so it’s very similar to a Vsett 10+ when you want to do anything with the motors, which can be kind of frustrating. Although I don’t like the look of the teewing. It sucks cause $1000 is a really bad price point for a scooter. I hate to tell people to spend more money but around the $1100 mark you’re making a lot of compromises with build quality or quality of life improvements like quick disconnects for the motors.
How much is that? Does look pretty cool and I do like that. It has the quick release plugs for the motors. Only thing I’m not a fan of is those folding latches with the circular latch. I’m just such a big fan of the folding latch that’s used by a Teverun
The 2025 Teverun Fighter Mini pro at $1899 best quality scooter i have owned. If you want a little more speed the Bkade GT+2 But over $2k I wanted more speed so I am upgrading the controllers and motors to blade gt2 ones over the winter taking it from 41mph to 53mph but highly recommend the fighter mini pro and still small enough to carry up steps. https://preview.redd.it/4upghjo4zxeg1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ec09dab7a7bd7bc7016ff035f0470617f024956c
Nice great choice for a first its top quality easy to upgrade and work on. I waisted a lot of money buying cheaper scooters should have gone with the teverun from the start. What's nice is most of the parts fit from across models so there's a ton of stuff you can do. But first get a decent full face helmet and a good pair of motocross gloves. And take your time till your used to it. https://preview.redd.it/h5ss9nnj8v5g1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e20af1e7f1494d0eddc3847de5902f616ede9aae I probably have spent $5k buying and modding cheaper scooters should have gone this route to begin with. Mine is a fighter mini pro soon to have the Blade GT2 motors and controllers installed pushing it to 53mph
My first scooter i had a no suspension isinwheels had seen a lot of scooters around and wanted one. Two weeks later going down a hill hit a patch of leaves that was covering a 5 or 6 inch deep pot hole sending flying over the handlbars like superman at like 25mph sucked lol. I sold that a few weeks later and picked up something with a decent suspension. The non visible shocks are honestly usually just a block of rubber wrapped around a bolt pretty much usless dont even like the ones dualtron uses. I dont know about the suspension on the Apollo but they are really excellent quality scooters. When I got my latest I was trying to decide between the 60v phantom I think it was and my Teverun it was neck and neck willsons bikes just had better deals on the teveruns then the Apollo's. You should check there site out best aftersales service I ever got from a scooter company. The sell Apollo that would be my choice Apollo has some pretty cool tech that only they use. https://preview.redd.it/4vwtagj1p6jg1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=142387ccee38c2f5f8d972e34becc339a4d2efdf Love my scooter dont know your budget but they have the blade Q and ultra for really good deals too. The KKE adjustable damping shocks make all the difference in the world had air shocks on my last build these are twice as good at 210lbs no bottoming not even close
Get yourself a Teewing Mars XT/XTR (with handlebar extender), Teverun Blade GT+ II, Teverun Fighter 11+/Ultra, Nami Burn-E 2 Max, or Inmotion RS. These scooters can easily handle that weight.
I have used a Blade GT+ II 60V/35Ah for a year. It's got 7,500 miles on it as of now. Great warranty, excellent support, and tremendous parts availability. It has been a workhorse. https://preview.redd.it/d24urk9gqkzf1.jpeg?width=3768&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aa23871380302d9ad139bd407c92a597243b4fff
Fighter Mini Pro if you want to splurge. The Blade Mini Ultra if you want to save a bit. I have almost 7K miles on my Blade GT+ II, and it's been an amazing investment that totally exceeded my expectations.
I have a 2024 Blade GT+ II & a Fighter Supreme Ultra V5.
Blade GT 2 all day. The 35AH + version if you can find one and don't mind spending a bit more for the Samsung 21700 cells. I got 8,500 miles on mine. Still a beast after nearly 200 charging cycles.
Yeah the Teverun blade GT 2 is solid but that extra $400 hurts when you're already stretching budget lol. Have you looked at the Vsett 8? Think it's right around your price range and the range is pretty decent, plus the build quality is way better than most stuff in that bracket
Teverun blade gt2, just got mine and i love it
A blade GT, i guess. Not in your budget but it can hit those speeds. I tried doing wheelies on one and i held it for a few seconds. Please be careful when considering hyper scooters, especially cheap ones. You might start hearing Kerosene…
