Blade GT II if you want more power and speed, 2x 37a controllers vs 2x 25a. Also 11 inch tubeless vs 10 inch tube.

I second this, I love my blade gt. I think its absolutely the best 50+mph <100lbs scooter, I went with it because 100lbs is my hard limit for carrying up a flight of stairs without hurting myself. You can charge up to 20a, much higher than most scooters under $4000, I've done 15a charging many times. It has a steering damper included, good shocks and a lot of customization, each gear can be customized for speed, power, ebrake, and more. I have nearly 4000 miles on mine, and Im super hard on it, I even do racing events on it, no issues so far. With a wider bar and PMT tires, these things absolutely rip.

Inmotion climber is the one, ninebot scooters are weak, and dont even consider appollo. If you can afford it, you should really consider a 60 or 72v scooter like the teverun GT2, they are like actual vehicles for adults to use to commute, not fancy toys like the cheaper scooters. Not everyone wants to ride st 50 mph, but a big fast scooter is so much safer and more capable even at 15mph. I owned a vsett 9+, and it felt much more dangerous at its top speed of 32 than my teverun feels at 50+mph But the inmotion climber is fine if youre on a budget, I actually just did a 23 mile round trip ride with another redditor who owns a climber and he made it back with 15% left. He lives in San Francisco, so it must be fine on the hills

For me, yeah. I have no idea what your size is or level of physical ability. Ive had to carry my nearly 100lb teverun up about 3 flights when the elevator was down at the train station. If you have access to a gym, take a bench press bar and add weight to it to match the weight of the scooter, then lift that and walk around with it to see how it feels. Scooters are awkward to carry, but a bench bar is pretty similar in weight distribution, so its a good simulation.

There are much better specced scooters for the money, only reason they sell any is because ESG shills for them. If youre on a budget go for an Ausom scooter, they have the best price to performance/features, they sell a scooter for 600 that will hit 28mph. If you want something high performance get a teverun, the blade gt2 is fantastic, I have 4k miles on mine.

Im pretty sure theyre hiring, not my company which folded, but spin or lime. Thing is that they absolutely suck ass compared a premium 60 or 72v personal scooter, theyre always half. busted and janky too. And you cant ride them crazy or you get fired. Get McDonald's job and save $1500 for a teverun GT2. Mine is at 4000 miles despite being heavily abused and crashed several times. Still works flawlessly

I addressed that, you simply cant just buy slower scooters with more range, companies upgrade the speed, power, battery and suspension all at once. Dual motors mean better traction on acceleration, thats a safety feature, when a powerful single motor can spin and slide on wet or muddy terrain. Larger tires offer more comfort and stablity, there are many benefits to having a higher performance scooter than the top speed alone. Why would OP not want a more capable scooter for almost the same price? Many people like myself bought a basic scooter that barely suits their needs, only to find that they enjoy riding it and want more power and speed down the line when their skills improve. You can limit the power and speed on a faster scooter if you want, but you cant magic more oomph out of a basic scooter. I ended up selling that first scooter at a loss, because thats how it is with used stuff, just trying to save a new rider from making the same mistake.

It looks pretty good, I can agree about that. But I prefer a simpler more functional look, and most importantly ease of repair. I know on older ninebots there was a lot of hiding wires in channels and behind fairings. Keeps kids from ripping or cutting them, but cable coil does a good enough job of that and it comes off easily in seconds. Does the traction control or abs actually work on that scooter?

You can get a teverun blade gt2 for $1600, I have 4000 miles on mine, great scooters. You may not need a 52mph top speed but its nice to have to grow into as your riding skills improve. They have great kke hydraulic shocks for a smooth ride, and come with a steering damper, which is required safety equipment IMO for anything that goes faster than 30mph. Segway is pretty overpriced for what they are, and the range they have is pretty low, parts and tires size are proprietary so you have to buy from Segway for big money. Ive absolutely beat the crap out of my teverun, even broken bones in crashes on it, replace a brake lever that got ripped off, and its good to ride again. I wanted a scooter that could hit 50+mph, so that when the battery gets low I can still maintain 45mph to stay in front of the traffic on 35mph roads, but I needed one weighing less than 100lbs so I could manage carrying it up a flight of stairs. There are very few scooters capable of 50+, at <100lbs, its a nearly perfect scooter for my needs.

Its either the same weight or 15lbs less, depending on which figure you trust for the weight of the gt2, 12 mph slower and only runs 10in tires. 10in tires are a dealbreaker to me, the size of the tire is the most limiting factor for scooters, 11 to me is the bare minimum if you plan to go faster than say 30mph. That extra inch will make a huge difference in comfort and stability, plus PMT tires upgrade a scooter to such a degree that I veiw scooters that cant fit them as being effectively handicapped. Though I think there might be 10in pmts by now, I havent checked.

I would recommend buying PMT stradale tires and a wider handlebar, swap those in from the get go. Its nearly a perfect scooter, just those parts have to go. The stock tires are closer to car tires and they have a squared off profile, so when you lean in a turn only the corner edge of the tire is touching the ground and its much more likely to skid. I race my scooter at Intro 2 Speed events and I cant go back to stock tires, they just suck too much. With the rounder profile on the PMTs, in a lean you have more tire touching the ground than you do on a straight, I found that even with the powerful motors on the blade, once I set my lean angle I could full throttle through the apex without losing traction. Feels incredible shooting through that apex at full blast. https://preview.redd.it/pbxfoydgsp2g1.png?width=536&format=png&auto=webp&s=93e5c42f25b2b64fe2773e0d9af0f794ac648455

You can get my scooter, the bade gt2 with a smaller battery for 1700. Teveruns are well built, and have some nice features. Even if you dont care to go 50+ mph, its cool that the scooter can do it. Im coming up on 4000 miles on mine.

I have two dual motor scooters from a single. Can’t tell you how much more enjoyable the use is. Find the most powerful in your budget. As you can tell no one regrets it. I also do agree with more powerful but don’t max out the motors. I bought my second scooter based on this logic. I have a Varla eagle one and then got a Teverun Gt2. The Varla is great and performs well but with my commute charging was every 2 or 3 days. I ride a fairly hilly route and often use the dual motors. With the Teverun sometimes use two motors and charge every 4 days or so. I won’t lie, I will never go 50 on this or any scooter, 35 feels fast enough and rarely have a straight away that I would feel comfortable breaking if I was going faster. I did hit 40 just to see and well, once was enough. Better have and not need than need and not have.

Yeah the Teverun blade GT 2 is solid but that extra $400 hurts when you're already stretching budget lol. Have you looked at the Vsett 8? Think it's right around your price range and the range is pretty decent, plus the build quality is way better than most stuff in that bracket

My Nami has no problem in heavy PNW rain for 6000 miles, still going strong.  I rode my Teverun in heavy rain once & the screen got visible moisture in it.
