Based on 1 year's data from Feb 15, 2026 How it works
I'm riding a Teverun Fighter 11+. It's a 60V scooter but it's plenty fast going around 50MPH max. Has plenty of range and great build quality as well.
It has dual sinewave controllers, I believe around 35amps. Throttle response is great and linear on gear 2. It has Eco, walk, g1, g2, g3, and sport. I use gear 2 the most for normal riding through the streets. Each gear can be user customized to whatever power and speed you prefer. You can set the amperage, the acceleration, and the speed. It comes with a stock trigger throttle which I've replaced with their thumb throttle. The trigger throttle was perfectly fine, I'm just more comfortable with a thumb throttle. They both have pros and cons that I can go over if you're interested. Brakes are hydraulic so they have great power and response. It's combined with an electronic brake as well so until you get used to it using it, it's really rough. When you use your brakes, you'll feel the hydraulic brakes first, followed by the electronic brake. You can go into the scooter's settings to lower the electronic brake power (which I have done), and that makes it more comfortable. Reliability and build quality are amazing. I haven't seen any posts on reddit about Teveruns breaking or failing like many other super scooters. I see people recommending Nami to you and I'd like to warn you I've seen posts about them breaking.
Teverun fighter 11 plus 2025 gen 2 edition is the best possible scooter bang for buck pound for pound and part by part. You are getting top of the line components after trial and error dualtron and blade made the best possible hybrid scooter. Do not sleep on this model don't believe me go check the components you'll never have a issue finding parts or trying to mod.
Play the love of everything stay the hell away from used kaabo scooters. Some of their entry level options like the mantis King were not too bad. But the wolf, King GT and that level were freaking awful. The folding mechanism is ass. And they are a nightmare of electrical gremlins and the warranty support is awful. There’s a reason they were dropped by distributors in North America. So many warranty problems that they would ignore and refuse to honor by sending parts. You’re honestly pretty close to being able to get a Teverun fighter supreme ultra. But unless you really need the 60 amp power battery you would be fine with something like the fighter 11+. Or a more affordable option with a similar top speed would be the blade GT 2. You could get the blade GT2+ if you want the 35ah battery which would be closer to your budget of $2500. Very solidly built. And my favorite thing is that typically the customer support from the distributors or from the brand itself are pretty good. Fairly easy to get parts if you have an issue for some reason.
It’s hard to describe but getting something that 60 or 72 V does feel like a world of difference compared to 52 V. They’re simply more acceleration available if you need it. And generally speaking, the batteries are going to be bigger and more efficient, even when they are at lower percentage. Honestly, if you look up Apollo, you’ll see plenty of people having issues with their scooters and then getting for customer support. I’m not a fan of them very much. Inmotion is honestly not that much better but that’s mainly on their electric unicycle side of the market. Honestly, these days I’d be more likely to recommend something like the Teverun 11+ or the blade gt2 if you want something in that class of scooter. The main reason I recommend them is because they have a lot more adjustment over the individual power and acceleration setting of each motor individually. This should not be underestimated because it makes it a lot easier to fine-tune things and get the acceleration and top speed that you want on each gear setting. Makes it easy to limit the power if I’m on a bike path with a lot of pedestrians or in increase for my normal usage.
If your wife’s scooter feels different even though it’s the same model it might come down to the tires. Even if they have the same tires a lot of times the cheaper options have a lot more variability in how balanced they are. I bet you if you put your scooter elevated on a chair so you could spin it with the motors in the air. You’ll notice more vibration on your tires. Sometimes lowering the air pressure and then increasing a couple times can help balance the bead a bit more. And sometimes using little magnetic weights the same way as you would balance a motorcycle tire can also be pretty effective.
Honestly, the biggest thing is going to be the shop that you purchased from in terms of warranty support and source for parts. It’s very hard to have confidence that they’re gonna be around to still be able to provide parts at a reasonable price. Teverun seems like a solid option even if the shop you buy it from is not the best because luckily almost every part seems readily available at a good price from AliExpress. So you have options. 7620r seems pretty great although getting the later version seems better, especially if you need to deal with the steering dampener. Inmotion, I would only not recommend because I’ve seen their terrible customer support on their electric unicycle side of the business. They also seem to be discontinuing in someway the RS so I will be confident for parts. RX7 on paper seems like a great scooter for the price, but I’ve also seen pretty terrible customer support from roadrunner and I know a few different scooter shops where I live and they seem to suffer a lot from electrical gremlins. Teverun I wouldn’t say it’s perfect, and there may be some bias because they typically see the more higher end versions. But the friends that I know at shops have those as their personal ride and don’t really seem to have as many mysterious issues if that makes sense. Like with randomly dying controllers or motors with failing hall sensors. Stuff that doesn’t have a very clear physical damage component to it. Lastly, I think if you search on this sub, I think there is very recently someone who purchased that same scooter from Wilson’s, who didn’t have the best experience out of the box, but the shop did get him a replacement with an a decently reasonable time. So although it’s a crummy situation to be in at the very least, I think that’s the sort of experience you would want if you have issues. If you’re in New York, maybe you would want to consider these guys since they seem more local and I have heard decent things about them online. Although I always recommend doing your own research. https://www.speedwayridersnyc.com/shop/fighter-supreme-7260r-electric-scooter/?srsltid=AfmBOooXYrjru0kYSmHevL7m4C0PzwPrjMb61AabsevgXnvHJWmH3qRU
Generally, I prefer Teverun and that one is a decent option. I think the only thing holding it back is that it does use tubes which means it could be somewhat annoying to do a tire or tube change. The motor cable also doesn’t have a quick disconnect so it’s very similar to a Vsett 10+ when you want to do anything with the motors, which can be kind of frustrating. Although I don’t like the look of the teewing. It sucks cause $1000 is a really bad price point for a scooter. I hate to tell people to spend more money but around the $1100 mark you’re making a lot of compromises with build quality or quality of life improvements like quick disconnects for the motors.
How much is that? Does look pretty cool and I do like that. It has the quick release plugs for the motors. Only thing I’m not a fan of is those folding latches with the circular latch. I’m just such a big fan of the folding latch that’s used by a Teverun
Having had quite a range of scooters and tire sizes I can say that being "nimble" isn't as much the size as it is the width. A Segway g30 is 10 inch but not super wide (can never remember the exact width) and feels really nimble. It's actually a really nice city scooter if you don't need to go too fast or climb major hills. Also sucks that it doesn't have suspension. A vsett 8 is an 8.5 inch (again, can't remember width) and is also pretty nimble, but the solid rear tire is a major pain, if you clip a rock or height variation in the road/sidewalk it will fully shift the rear tire out and feels pretty dicey. The vsett 8 was a pretty decent scooter, it got the job done even though that solid rear tire almost got me a couple times. A punk rider pro is 10 inch with 3 inch width and it starts to feel a lot less nimble. The fact that it's also longer and weights closer to 30kgs also adds to the lack of nimbleness, but it's way more stable and I was actually quite happy doing 50km/h on it. Right sidewalks were not my friend though, the road felt much better. This was a great scooter, not great suspension (rubber cartridges) but heaps of fun, only got rid of it so I could go the speed limit on the road. My current Teverun Fighter 11 is 11 inch with 4 inch width and it's not all that nimble, it's much tougher to lean and kinda unweildly on the sidewalk. Weighing closer to the 40kg mark and being even longer the punk also doesn't help for nimbleness (and neither does the steering damper) but on the road, going even 70km/h is a breeze (top speed is 85km/h but still need to find a road that is nice and quiet to test that out). So far loving the Teverun, just need to get more familiar with the handling on this beast. Tldr: tire size (height) is definitely not the only factor when looking for a nimble city scooter. (Or any scooter for that matter).
Nice is that the single motor, they were out of stock when I was buying. I downsized from a 6kw scooter to a 2025 Teverun Fighter Mini pro tge carbon fiber Bosch motor one awesome scooter in fact best ride and build quality i ever owned and 0 to 30 its as fast as my 6kw was. I didn't think I would mis the 50mph+ speed my teverun will hit 43 on a full battery and 41 the rest of the time. I paid $2100 with tax then I added tge 150 seat the 75 thumb throttle and button pad. Oh and a $100 5a smart charger. And a new motocross helmet I got this one at willsons e bikes of the site from NYC they have the fighter 11 on sale for $1899 its a 53mph scooter right put the box more my speed. My scooter only has 344 miles and 15 cycles on the battery according to the smart bms. So I put it in Craigslist for $1700 with all the extras including receipt and box for scooter. And I'll take 1600 i am not trying to sell it here just talking about it. I also included in the add willing to trade for scooter of the same quality in the 50mph range. I can just switch out the controllers and motors from the blade gt+2 there plug and play since its the same frame and wiring harness will cost under 700 but ill need to upgrade the battery too since thr gt2 uses a 7p battery and I believe my 25ah uses a 5p battery oh plus I also added the 4 inch non pke display from the supreme. https://preview.redd.it/3wzp8hndwxxf1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=64f553c67c6c841a0e9e8146b4e905c5ac9e2608 Love the scooter nothing wrong with it perfect size for travel at times I just like to go faster then 40mph
Yeah go with the Teverun Fighter 11 or 11+ if you can go up to like $2300. I was going to get the Blade GT 2 as I was coming from a cheap 5600w scooter and didn't really want to downgrade in speed my modded GT08 hits the lower 50mph range. The company I ordered my blade 2 GT from ended up was waiting on a shipment they actually talked me into the fighter mini pro. I was actually sceptical because it was definitely a little slower then my gt08. But honestly I am extremely satisfied. I got the fighter mini pro the 2025 carbon fiber version and I couldn't be happier it's a little slower. The Teverun build quality is awesome try the 7260r or supreme. On a full battery will hit 43 or 44 mph with my 210lb ass but hits 39 throughout the battery and honestly Teverun tunes them so well and gives you a lot of tuning options through the app and the TFT. It actually is just as fast from 0-39 as my cheaper 5600w. But let me tell you it's the most solid scooter I ever have ridden. Normally you get all the vibration and squeaks and creaks this scooter is completely silent except for the normal squeek from the brakes when they get heated up. This is my 6 scooter I have owned and it has so many cool options the smart BMS where you can see the voltage for each cell group and temps a ton of stars. Everything is ajustable it has a built in 4G gps which is amazing for security if it gets stolen the thief's can't just remove the GPS you contact Teverun and they can tell you down to the meter where your scooter is basically lol. On my other scooter at higher speeds I was always gripping the bars like a mad man not scared just looking for the next bump but with the KKE suspension Teverun uses well it's more like riding a dirt bike then a scooter. Bumps that unused to have to brace myself for on my 11 inch scooter even with HLT hydraulic shocks(crap toys compared to the kke)I barley feel them on the top 10 inch if I jumped up and down on the deck of my GT08 it barely moved i would go with the fighter 11+ if you can go to $2300 if not the mini pro $1899 try willsons e bike and e scooters they were awesome and really helpful
Nice great choice for a first its top quality easy to upgrade and work on. I waisted a lot of money buying cheaper scooters should have gone with the teverun from the start. What's nice is most of the parts fit from across models so there's a ton of stuff you can do. But first get a decent full face helmet and a good pair of motocross gloves. And take your time till your used to it. https://preview.redd.it/h5ss9nnj8v5g1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e20af1e7f1494d0eddc3847de5902f616ede9aae I probably have spent $5k buying and modding cheaper scooters should have gone this route to begin with. Mine is a fighter mini pro soon to have the Blade GT2 motors and controllers installed pushing it to 53mph
My first scooter i had a no suspension isinwheels had seen a lot of scooters around and wanted one. Two weeks later going down a hill hit a patch of leaves that was covering a 5 or 6 inch deep pot hole sending flying over the handlbars like superman at like 25mph sucked lol. I sold that a few weeks later and picked up something with a decent suspension. The non visible shocks are honestly usually just a block of rubber wrapped around a bolt pretty much usless dont even like the ones dualtron uses. I dont know about the suspension on the Apollo but they are really excellent quality scooters. When I got my latest I was trying to decide between the 60v phantom I think it was and my Teverun it was neck and neck willsons bikes just had better deals on the teveruns then the Apollo's. You should check there site out best aftersales service I ever got from a scooter company. The sell Apollo that would be my choice Apollo has some pretty cool tech that only they use. https://preview.redd.it/4vwtagj1p6jg1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=142387ccee38c2f5f8d972e34becc339a4d2efdf Love my scooter dont know your budget but they have the blade Q and ultra for really good deals too. The KKE adjustable damping shocks make all the difference in the world had air shocks on my last build these are twice as good at 210lbs no bottoming not even close
Sure, you can save money and get a low-end Chinese scooter, but you can’t really trust it. I’ve fixed and rebuilt hundreds of Teveruns, and I can tell you most of the screws they use are cheap junk—the heads feel like they’re made of chewing gum. That said, the core components like the body, suspension shafts, and steering column are solid. Even on my 7260R, which is already a high-end scooter that costs a fortune, I replaced most of the screws. My advice: don’t cut corners. Go for a Fighter 10 or 11—you’re literally trusting your life to that machine.

The other thing is, does it amount to a serious failure or a minor failure? I just spent $6500 on a Teverun. The rear shock blew after 1200km's. I could complain, cry and get it 'fixed' under warranty for it to blow up in another 1000km's or I could just swap out the shock for another. I have now ordered a $20 shock to install with some great reviews but worst case if that blows as well I'll spend $70 on a KKE unit. If it was a motor, battery or controller THEN I would be screaming but otherwise just consider it an opportunity to upgrade the components. Unfortunately these things don't last forever
I'm biased towards Teverun partly cause Superscoots is very good about their warranty. But I live in Canada where they're based out of. If you're in the US idk if there's a better place
Mate you haven't listed a decent brand in your entire post Have you never heard of Roadrunner, Teverun, Nami, or Maxfun? Hooga daytona? Willmason?
You can get my scooter, the bade gt2 with a smaller battery for 1700. Teveruns are well built, and have some nice features. Even if you dont care to go 50+ mph, its cool that the scooter can do it. Im coming up on 4000 miles on mine.
