The other thing is, does it amount to a serious failure or a minor failure? I just spent $6500 on a Teverun. The rear shock blew after 1200km's. I could complain, cry and get it 'fixed' under warranty for it to blow up in another 1000km's or I could just swap out the shock for another. I have now ordered a $20 shock to install with some great reviews but worst case if that blows as well I'll spend $70 on a KKE unit. If it was a motor, battery or controller THEN I would be screaming but otherwise just consider it an opportunity to upgrade the components. Unfortunately these things don't last forever
r/ElectricScooters • Scooter brands with no complaints? I keep seeing amazing options and then i go to reddit and see a MASSIVE AMOUNT of complaints about it. Is there one that isn't complaint about? ->That scooter is a piece of junk. The bottom of the barrel of Chinese scooters. my teverun is Chinese, but it’s well built, SK 60ah Battery, better build quality, like 10000% better than that crappy Temu scooter that will start to fall apart and have stuff brake. Enjoy your bag of junk and ticking time bomb 😂😂😂
r/ElectricScooters • Gt08 electric scooter highly recommend ->Nami burn e, Inmotion RS, Teewing Mars XTR, Teverun Fighter Supreme All good choices, now that 72v has landed as the hyper scooter standard, performance is close on everything, it’s more about smaller design innovations. Nami’s are great suspension and well-programmed acceleration. Inmotion RS is a newer/little faster/little smoother design, lots of buzz lately. Teewing has novel suspension w telelever style front. TFS comes from years of Blade scooters and has added the Ultra w a huge 60a battery that’s still only 110lbs.
r/ElectricScooters • What is the best Hyper Scooters to get right now that are between three and four grand?? ->I only see Nutt brakes advertised for Teewing or GSpace - at 136lbs I’d imagine anything 2-pot isn’t going to feel adequate and anything 4-pot is probably fine? Nice that they have EXA shocks on from the beginning, an upgrade from the KKEs in Nami’s and Teverun’s. Teewing/GSpace’s price point implies they saved money somewhere, probably the battery pack? Could be the power of a bigger market player, I suppose. PMTs should be on every serious 72v scooter (that’s gonna be mostly ridden on pavement). The grip, smoothness, and improved turn-in handling are an insane upgrade for the cost. Whatever you choose, take some time to set it up right for you. My TFS was great fun from the beginning, but the suspension wasn’t tuned (should be fast rebound front with at least 4 threads more preload than slow rebound rear) and the shock springs were overkill @ 1800lbs. I swapped in EXA springs ($20/ea on Aliexpress) for 1500 front and 1250 rear, tuned, swapped in PMTs, and balanced w sticky weights - less than $300 and tuning transformed my already great scooter into pure joy. Handling massively improved, wobble forces pushed to speeds I rarely ride.
r/ElectricScooters • What is the best Hyper Scooters to get right now that are between three and four grand?? ->You can get my scooter, the bade gt2 with a smaller battery for 1700. Teveruns are well built, and have some nice features. Even if you dont care to go 50+ mph, its cool that the scooter can do it. Im coming up on 4000 miles on mine.
r/ElectricScooters • Bought my 1st electric scooter now I wanna move up! ->Burn E 2 Max. Pretty light for what it can do. Teverun Fighter Supreme is you’re looking for max range while still being relatively manageable (11 inch wheels) The GT3 Pro is the Segway I always wanted… just too late because I already have a Burn E 2. Honorable mention to the Apollo Pro and the new Phantom. They have a ip66 rating. That’s really important if you live in a wet area. As you can see I favor unique and performance scoots. But at that price point, a lot of them look the part.
r/ElectricScooters • What is the best Hyper Scooters to get right now that are between three and four grand?? ->Ausom fudges their numbers more than most. Teverun for example is very close to reality. Really depends on brand, but take the specs from the scooter and run it through a calculator, probably more accurate than the average manufacturer claim
r/ElectricScooters • How not to get f***ed under $600? ->Look teverun or nami if you have good budget. They have many different models to choose from. I have dualtron achilleus and what i dont like it is the suspension. Otherwise i would have recommended dualtron too. I have driven it around 3500km and had only one flat, still same tires. Brakepads i have changed. If i switch to other scooter it will be teverun.
r/ElectricScooters • Best electric scooter for adults (commuter e-scooter, long range, hill climbs), recommendations? ->Teverun for their 72v 60Ah blade batterie pack. The rest of the scooter is on par with other top brands, but the battery is something else! The firmware is where they could improve. It works... but could use some refinement. The regen brakes should be more customizable. I would like to be able to set them to be enabled as soon as the brake light turn on and be able to adjust the brake rate relative to the speed. Dualtron regen brakes, despite not being adjustable, have a much better feel (and more previsible) feel.
r/ElectricScooters • Do people still buy name brands? ->Honestly, the biggest thing is going to be the shop that you purchased from in terms of warranty support and source for parts. It’s very hard to have confidence that they’re gonna be around to still be able to provide parts at a reasonable price. Teverun seems like a solid option even if the shop you buy it from is not the best because luckily almost every part seems readily available at a good price from AliExpress. So you have options. 7620r seems pretty great although getting the later version seems better, especially if you need to deal with the steering dampener. Inmotion, I would only not recommend because I’ve seen their terrible customer support on their electric unicycle side of the business. They also seem to be discontinuing in someway the RS so I will be confident for parts. RX7 on paper seems like a great scooter for the price, but I’ve also seen pretty terrible customer support from roadrunner and I know a few different scooter shops where I live and they seem to suffer a lot from electrical gremlins. Teverun I wouldn’t say it’s perfect, and there may be some bias because they typically see the more higher end versions. But the friends that I know at shops have those as their personal ride and don’t really seem to have as many mysterious issues if that makes sense. Like with randomly dying controllers or motors with failing hall sensors. Stuff that doesn’t have a very clear physical damage component to it. Lastly, I think if you search on this sub, I think there is very recently someone who purchased that same scooter from Wilson’s, who didn’t have the best experience out of the box, but the shop did get him a replacement with an a decently reasonable time. So although it’s a crummy situation to be in at the very least, I think that’s the sort of experience you would want if you have issues. If you’re in New York, maybe you would want to consider these guys since they seem more local and I have heard decent things about them online. Although I always recommend doing your own research. https://www.speedwayridersnyc.com/shop/fighter-supreme-7260r-electric-scooter/?srsltid=AfmBOooXYrjru0kYSmHevL7m4C0PzwPrjMb61AabsevgXnvHJWmH3qRU
r/ElectricScooters • Best scooter brand for support and getting aftermarket parts. ->Too much money for the same price you can get a Tevarun fighter supreme or Nami E burn 2 or even a Dualtron storm one of my neighbors had a d4 4.0 just had a different front suspension then my old Emanba X6 Pro. Same exact speed we used to ride together and my cheap ass $720 scooter had less problems and lasted way longer then his
r/ElectricScooters • Roadrunner RS6 Ultra, officially announced. ->Nice great choice for a first its top quality easy to upgrade and work on. I waisted a lot of money buying cheaper scooters should have gone with the teverun from the start. What's nice is most of the parts fit from across models so there's a ton of stuff you can do. But first get a decent full face helmet and a good pair of motocross gloves. And take your time till your used to it. https://preview.redd.it/h5ss9nnj8v5g1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e20af1e7f1494d0eddc3847de5902f616ede9aae I probably have spent $5k buying and modding cheaper scooters should have gone this route to begin with. Mine is a fighter mini pro soon to have the Blade GT2 motors and controllers installed pushing it to 53mph
