I had this exact one and it was surprisingly reliable. It was my first scooter and i loved it! 1. The hard tires are a bit more "skateboard" like and you wont be able to lean into turns as aggressively. Otherwise, i had no issue with them. It was fine. Just ride cautiously. The suspension works, however the hard tires will still make this a bit of a rougher ride. Dont hit anything too big. Although mine never broke even on big bumps. 2. I used it daily for hours and aggressively for work related purposes. It never failed on me. Its certainly a cheaper build quality, but it surprisingly handled my riding style just fine. Just make sure you go over the scooter after a week of riding or so and tighten up all the screws. The extra vibration from solid tires shakes things a bit more. 3. I put just under 800 miles on mine before i sold it. The motor and battery at that time were in perfect order. When I ordered my v1spro, I ordered 2 of them. The brakes DID NOT function on one of them and was quite dangerous. I had no issue returning the defective one and the one that did work was reliable as stated above. Id say your biggest risk is just the brakes working or not. Check that immediately upon receiving it before riding if you choose to buy one. Hope this helps!
Just returned a Segway G2 Max for a Maxshot V1SPRO 10”. It’s 80% of the G2 for less than 1/2 the cost. Suspension nearly as plush as the G2, slower acceleration but still acceptable, and can do light off-roading (mowed grass) like the G2 but at 1/2 the speed. It’s also 20+ lbs less. My only disappointment so far is it’s not IPX (water resistant) rated.
I have the max shot pro. I work about a mile from the house so it’s pretty nice. I do go up a hill it goes from 19 to about 15 at the peak of the hill. It has the suspension and still rough on the bad parts of the road because of the tires. It was 240 on Amazon.
I have the Maxshot Pro. It has dual suspension. I never tried it in grass though. It’s 240. Gets me to work and back just fine.
This scooter is bad because I had it for 9 months and it was working but the tires are unfortunately they tear off after riding it for so long I'm switching to an AovoPro instead of this max shot. The max shot isn't fast how I like to go and you can't mod it to go faster like 30 mph per hour but it's going 19mph.
Here’s my take on the Maxshot V1 Sportscooter. 7.8Ah, no suspension) “I Bought The Best Selling Electric Scooter on Amazon for $199 - and tested it!” https://youtu.be/d9q9aGY7nV0
I am a scooter rider and it really depends on your budget. It is highly recommended to get a scooter from a reputable brand and that come with some basic safety features like a turn signals and a proper rear facing light. Although they can be somewhat expensive, its very much worth the extra dollar, so you can stay safe while having the freedom of micro mobility. For my recommendations: NIU, VMAX, Segway have really good scooters. Avoid the cheap ones that don't have the safety features. They have decent range and have a built in gps locator, so even if someone steals it, you can find it. However, I would not worry about theft because gradguard will cover it. Other reputable brands include Gotrax and Apollo. Both are pretty good, but I don't have much experience with Gotrax. Apollo, on the otherhand, is also a great brand if you can stomach the cost. However, before you set your eyes on an escooter. Range anxiety is a real issue. The reported ranges and top speeds are the brands testing under very good conditions and very light riders and often times on the slowest setting. They are not accurate most of the time. Do not buy from non reputable brands. I do not want to see someone's dorm or house burning down because they bought a cheap scooter from a random company. I also recommend to buy a full face helmet, knee pads, and gloves even on entry level scooters. PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. ADHERE TO TRAFFIC LAWS. YOUR NOT A PEDESTRIAN WHEN YOU STEP FOOT ON THAT SCOOTER OR BIKE. I see too many people on campus not adhering to basic traffic laws on both scooters and bikes. Also watch how to properly ride a scooter and make sure to practice on the weekends. Although I am currently injured from falling off my own scooter (broken arm because I was being an idiot and tried to do a trick on it). If you want I can still teach you how to ride a scooter. Just privately message me about the time and date and I'll let you know if I can. Edit: I went through the gradguard policy again, they will not cover anything motorized, so invest in a good lock.
That's incorrect. I've posted about my fender clip falling off mid ride and being told it's a wear and tear part. They're dead to me.
VMAX are the equivalent of sleeper cars, they look basic but man they have power I own one and have over 2k miles on it
