Based on 1 year's data from Feb 15, 2026 How it works
When they have the 20% coupon, the Solar P1 3.0 is $1040. Right now it's 15% coupon so it's $1104. Top speed around 40mph, and 330lbs weight capacity. Scooter weighs 70lbs, and is IP64 rated. Vmax VX2 hub is currently $1139, gets to around 33mph, with 287lbs weight capacity. Scooter weighs 55lbs, and is IPX6 rated. If you can tolerate going only 22mph or so, cheap option is Inmotion climber currently $419 with coupon, or $467 from amazon. However it doesn't have suspension so you'd want to avoid them big cracks. This one I actually own, for a year and 700 miles, and has been rock solid for me. Parts seem relatively easy to source, although I haven't needed any parts at this point. Just bought a spare tire cuz it's on sale for like $18. Can get replacement brake pads around $10. Was also able to fit a seat designed for ninebox G30, which made riding it more fun, and perhaps more safe especially if you're used to riding bikes. Scooter is IP56 rated.
The Hiley Tiger EVO GTR tests around 22 miles at 38 mph top speed, which is pretty close to your 25 miles. If you dial down to 30-35mph, you can probably hit the 25 miles. VMAX VX2 hub with the larger battery gets top speed of 34mph, and range of around 23 miles for a 210lb rider, and 30 miles with a 160lb rider.
Hard to get more minimalist looking than VMAX, and they have some fairly long range ones, like VX2 hub 56 mile version (30-35 miles real world range), and the VX4 2025 68 miles version, which probably has pretty similar range, maybe a little more if you're limiting it to the same speeds as the vx2 hub. As a bonus, they're fairly light weight as they are only single motor, about 55 lbs for the vx2 hub and 66 lbs for the vx4. They outperform most other single motor scooters, and can climb pretty much any hills you're going to throw at it, unless you're chasing the steepest hills in the world or something.
\-Inmotion Climber \-VMAX VX2 Hub or wait for the new VX2 lite \-NIU KQI 100F/200F/Air \-Ninebot F3 pro High torque scooters with good acceleration is good for city travel to go from one stop to the next. To that end, dual motor scooters like Inmotion Climber or high torque single motor like the VMAX VX2 Hub are more fun and get you through the city faster than weaker ones like the NIU and Ninebot. Suspension is useful if you can't avoid rougher streets or trails. But if your city is well maintained it's not really necessary with 10" pneumatic tires. Weight of the scooter is important if you need to lug it up stairs. But if you don't, it's actually not that necessary to fold the scooter, as it already takes very little space for storage. I hardly ever fold mine as I don't find myself needing to carry it on stairs. Only when I very occasionally put it in my car do I fold it.
So you're looking for a scooter with 53km real world range at 25km/h, and is super solid? It seems that shouldn't be that difficult to find. Shouldn't something like the VMAX VX2 Hub 56 mile version get you pretty close to those specs? If you ride the GT3 or GT3 pro at 25km/h, you should also crush the 53km range, shouldn't you? Even Max G3 should get you close to 50km if you limit it to 25km/h. Here's some real world results of range going in 20mph/32kmh mode: [https://tomsgadgetgarage.com/testing-results](https://tomsgadgetgarage.com/testing-results) 2 of the VMAX <=30kg scooters get to the >=53km range. Quite a few of the >=30kg scooters get over 53km range, with the GT3 pro getting 90km. As for snsc scooters, where did you get the one you sold? Did they use to sell these refurbished on ebay, and no longer selling them there now? The scooter rental companies must be still selling their old decommissioned ones somewhere...
I just bought the VX2 hub last week. Right out of the box the LCD screen displays doesn’t work. With that being said their customer service is great they sent out a replacement part the next day and even offer to pay a repair shop to install it on their dime. As far the scooter it has a lot of power and it’s quick. So far I can’t say anything bad about. I also have the Apollo go and air. They have been both reliable and I have not had any issues out of them. I will say if I had to pick one it would be the VMAX. It’s has more power and definitely the top speed is higher.
Keep in mind most of the talk you are going to find about Segway's after purchase support runs on theory crafting. As in random new buyers (and pretty much every scooter reviewer out there) peaking into the website, seeing a plethora of parts listed on there, and assuming they'll be golden. The reality can be much different. Lots of that website stock isn't likely located in the USA. Which can translate into long "internal processing" times to get your order that might not even ship out of Cali until a week or so after you put it in. Receive a broken product or want/need to process a return? I can tell you from first hand experience you going to end up getting the full extended run around, and might end up in a payment dispute hassle with your card/bank in the event you attempt to fight paying the return shipping charges. Segway makes a great scooter, but if i could do it that purchase over I would of done more homework into different options that I felt might not be so corporate blood sucking, and maybe be able to offer quicker turn around times/support on parts if/when something does actually go wrong.
Again if I could do it all over from scratch i'd of just spent the extra couple hundred dollars and got the new Vmax Hubx2. With the battery upgrade to a real word 35'ish miles that still only only come in at 57lbs and costs $1330 atm (roughly where you end up on the slightly heavier G3 after getting the bulky extension battery upgrade, and that came broken when i got it btw). Vmax don't have a few thousand spare parts on their site, but for big/obvious things such as a replacement front tire for example my buddy was back up and riding with a 4 day turn around on his order. Took 2+ weeks on a tire from Segway. Not a huge inconvenience difference on paper, but if that scooter is your only means of personal vehicle transportation it sure can feel like one while you are waiting through it.
The people crapping on Vmax (who definitely don't seem to have the same amount of people shilling for them on this subreddit as other brands do fwtw) in this thread seem to be doing so without any real acknowledgement to them being one of the best tested weight to range performance options you are going to find at their portability scooter price range, Which for a lot of people who don't want to stray too far from maintaining a more reasonable level of portability convenience can be one of the most important real world use factors going into their purchase decisions. How much does that 60v 35ah battery scooter weigh again? Yeah, no thanks there for me. I myself ended up buying something different that leaned more into the portability aspect, but FWIW if my required daily commute mileage needs had landed more in the 30'ish range as opposed to 20 the Vmax VX2 Hub (i'd of spent the extra on the bigger battery with it only adding the 2 extra lbs of weight) would of certainly pushed to the top of my researched preference list.
A more powerful single motor will also do hills. For example the Apollo Explore 2.0 is better up hills than their Go, although speed limited to a lower top speed for some reason (must not want my money). I watched the only video review in existence of the Ausom L2 Max single motor and it slowed from 31 to 20 up a hill, but if you're cruising at 19 ... you just need extra capability. The VMAX VX2 Gear has a geared motor and possibly can outclimb anything, but only goes 19. Also dual motor doesn't really increase maximum incline, watch the ESG hill climb of the Climber on the steepest hill in San Fran, he had to lean forward until his stomach touched the display to keep the front wheel from spinning. Dual motor is is more about getting up normal hills at speed. I don't like the idea of turning off the front motor and just dragging it around, although probably no better dragging around a bigger single motor. A better "feature" is when they have the same big battery in a single motor version, just good luck finding any reviews with the dual version getting all the attention. I don't really look at scooters going towards $2K. Most interested in the bottom end Hiley, Eahora. Also the VX2 Hub, less off road-y but stealthy. Understated looks, Beast mode is hidden and doesn't even show on the display.

Just got the VMAX VX2 Hub and I'm loving it. Definitely pricey but the build quality and speed justify it IMO
Yeah the VX2 Hub is solid, just make sure you're cool with the weight difference from the G3 - it's still gonna be chunky but way more manageable than that brick you had
2 year warranty was useless for me. The fender clip fell off during a ride. I emailed for warranty service and they basically told me to pound sand. It's a wear and tear part and I would have to buy it and pay for shipping. They're dead to me.
That's incorrect. I've posted about my fender clip falling off mid ride and being told it's a wear and tear part. They're dead to me.
I picked up a vx2 hub a couple weeks ago. Love it. It does about 30 or so and yeah it doesnt get 50 miles at that speed but it does get about 18 miles at full send. Not bad. Only got it because my main scoot is not car trunkable. Teewing mars xtr. The teewing is insane however the vmax is nothing to ignore. I saw it like my daughters niu kqi 100. Just a light commuter. Until i pinned the throttle my first ride out. It wheelied twice on me. The vmax also climbed the hills i needed it to never dropping below 15 mph on the steeper sections. When i behave and treat it like a bike at 15 to 20 mph i usually get abiut 30 miles. I weigh 235lbs so that aint bad.
Vmax vx2 hub is my latest ride. I own a couple of 50 mph scoots but wanted something i can throw in the car. It doesnt dissapoint. 33mph 1900watt max motor 18 ah battery
I just ordered a VX2 Hub 44, it will be here on Thursday! I’m super excited, upgrading from a Uscooter GT sport, which I loved. Beast mode here we come!!
I have a ninebot and they are very solid for the price. Ignore anyone saying they are overpriced. No on the Apollo Go. I have a VMAX V2 Hub and I absolutely love it. Extended range, it's a monster
I had a 3 day ban or I would have posted. I just bought a VMAX v2 hub ER. I absolutely love it, I'm at 150 miles now and intend to do a review next week. If you want some information though, I'll still provide for you
I have an f2 and a E kick from ninebot. I do believe you're paying a little bit for the ninebot name, but from my experience it's worth it. I picked up an F2 that had only been rode 4 times by the previous owner for $200 (a steal) on marketplace. The build quality is definitely there, I absolutely love the f2. It's not even in the same league as my new vmax, yet I still use it for trips I can't bring the max inside or if it's rough riding. I'm 170 and ride the scooters like I stole them. Our Gotrax is also solid reliability wise, as my 8 yrs old nephew hasn't destroyed it yet, despite trying his hardest lol
