This is definitely for those of us who want to dip our feet into electric scooters without too high of a cost. Top speed isn’t too fast or slow. I weigh about 245-250. The weight limit is 265. I live in NYC and on our first mostly full charge, it got me up to the top of Fort Tryon and down to 138th street and halfway back to 168th. That’s approximately 6.5 miles on a mix of the different modes. I do not suggest switching between them. Stick to D or Sport. This was about 3 hours of ride. This thing is BUMPY. The shocks do help but you will be feeling bumpy roads and potholes. This thing also struggles heading up steeper hills but does ok on slight inclines. I blame this more on solid state tires more so the suspension. Your legs will feel like jello once you’re done on a bumpy road. Max speed claims to be about 19mph, but I haven’t set up my phone mount. Is this worth what I paid (about 239)? YES! This is the perfect size to practice and learn if a scooter is right for you without breaking the bank. Will you be doing more than short trips? Probably not, unless you are willing to charge up wherever you’re going. It charges pretty quickly within 5 hours to full. I also had a bit of a problem like other posters before with a screw sticking out. The other three got in just fine, but this last screw warped two of my Allen wrenches and the one is came with. If you can’t get it in, DO NOT FORCE IT. mine stays in before I practically welded it there with epoxy. Bottom line: great value for a beginner, a lighter person, or a teenager. If you’re larger like I am, it MAY work, but this isn’t the middle finger to the MTA it’s cracked up to be.

I’m at over 800 miles now. The battery isn’t great, but they sent me another one to try out. I haven’t installed it yet, but I plan to this week.

UPDATE: I AM SENDING THIS THING BACK FOR A FULL REFUND The tires are extremely slippery. I've had a major knee injury because of it. I have switched to a NIU KQI 100p which has about the same performance, but the tires are air filled and it is much smoother

Honestly, no. I use a volpam that looks almost identical to this one, as do all the m365 clones, down to the colors. My issue with the tires are that they tend to be EXTREMELY slippery, and you will feel every single bump, even with the shocks. I didn't pay too much for mine, so it's good as a beginner's scooter, but i'm already looking for a replacement.

I got one of these for my commute to work. I live just under a mile away, the ride is mostly flat except for one steep half a block, and luckily the sidewalks I ride on are really smooth since I work at a university and they do a great job with upkeep. Definitely worth it for me, however I do have issues in the app sometimes with tracking my ride and locking the wheels. It really saves me a lot of time, it's a 4 minute ride instead of a 15 minute walk, and now I have extra time on my lunches. I'm also not dying in the heat anymore walking in the sun. I don't need high speeds either, keeping it on D is more than enough for me, and I'd rather not crash into students lol. I'm around 120 lbs so I don't have any issues with weight. I also got it on sale on Amazon for $210, so pretty happy overall, and I couldn't afford anything top notch. I've only gone about 7 miles so far and it's at 87% battery, so I probably won't need to charge it very often. I'd recommend it for someone who has a similar situation in terms of distance/weight/road quality/funds.

I spent 280 on Volpam dual suspension, 10”tires on Amzn. I know it’s a step down from the real bangers but it’s genuinely been great for rough city streets. Thought about pneumatic tires but currently on stock airless. Hits 30km or 19-20mph. Nice locking app for short term deterrent cuz it weighs like 39lbs

Amazon has a scooters way cheaper. I bought a Volpam for $180 and have had it for over a year and it works great, I see almost everyone else with the same scooter on the train. My only regret is not spending more for shocks they have on other versions under $300. Imo if you’re spending 800+ on a scooter it’s either incredible or you’re wasting money.

I got a volpam off Amazon to use between transit and to get to the store. Haven’t had any issues yet. A 500w motor with dual suspension, 10” solid tires for $289

I bought a Volpam in April as my first escooter. I had a bit of a learning curve which left me with a couple of bruises, but I still loved it and got the hang of it in about 2 weeks (slow learner, me!) The kickstand also snapped off during week 2. I have about a 3/4 mile commute in San Francisco and it did fine but slow on the half-block hill that I deal with. But the rear tire snagged in a bus(?) track one day and I recovered control fine, but, ever since, the rear tire seems extra slippery to the point I’m really nervous about riding on wet roads, which is more likely now. So I upgraded to a G3 Max, which feels amazingly stable (if big - still getting used to it). Anyway, the point of this is that I agree about the Volpam’s slipperiness but that it’s also a good little scooter to try start on (but only in dry weather and if you don’t need a kickstand!)
