My Emove Cruiser comes pretty close, I just put goop in the tires and no problem there. +1 for not saying “I don’t want to spend more then $200”
Hmm not sure mine is from 2021 so I am guessing it’d be a v1
Yes, I spent $1100 on an emove cruiser that I commute on
I want to give a +1 for being specific and having the needed budget as well as being married to a one wheel owner, I want to see a pciture of you two with the scoot and one wheel next to eachother lol. There are just so many "nEeD ESCoOtER tHaT goES 65 MpH BudGet $200" I really love my Emove cruiser but people here hate it. Super portable and has given me almost 2000 trouble free miles after 4 years.
From personal experience, I would go with a refurbished emove cruiser. It more than meets your needs. Realistically, you will get 50 miles or so per charge. It does 33 miles an hour and even though you think 20s good at some point you’ll have to ride with traffic in a bike lane or whatever, you definitely want to be able to hit 30. For 1k even it’s the perfect bang for your buck. Voromotors refurbished is a solid choice. Not their open box but their refurbished.
He doesnt have to deliver pizzas. you can pick and choose what you deliver. I delivered on a scooter (Emove cruiser 2021 version) and was making 130$ a day no issue back in 2021-2022 and did not deliver pizza's. the real bitch is the fucking Starbucks orders.
Yeah, that actually helps a lot — and yeah, 25 mph really isn’t a dealbreaker for me. I’m not trying to go crazy fast anyway; I just need something reliable with a higher weight capacity and good ride stability. My last two scooters were the EMOVE Cruiser and one of the higher-end Inokim models (not the OXO, but the one right before it). Both were solid, but yeah — you nailed it — the mechanical disc brakes were exactly the issue. Ended up returning them after a week .Constant adjusting, rubbing, and just general upkeep fatigue. After putting 10,000+ miles on my Ninebot G30 in under four years of urban commuting, I got spoiled by how little maintenance drum brakes need. I’ve been looking into Vsett, maybe the 8 or Apex like you mentioned. I think one of them had a thumb throttle, right? Do you have any thoughts on how that feels compared to the trigger-style throttles? I’m wondering if that’d be more comfortable for longer rides. And yeah, I get that the market’s shifted toward hydraulic disc setups. I might finally have to cave in on that if the braking feel and maintenance are really that much better than the old mechanical ones.
I’ve owned 3 scooter upgrading every time. NIU KQI 3 pro , Emove cruiser S , Roadrunner Rs5. All bought off Facebook at minimum 50% off and all less than 300 miles on them. Barely broken in IMO.
I ride an emove cruiser S. I’m 6’2 225 or so. It hits 28 mph under perfect condition average is 25-26 with a slight incline / wind and such. Give it a look I like it. It will handle the 15 miles a charge plus some.
I’ve bought 2 used scooters. I keep eye on marketplace and found my first scooter niu pro 3 barely used then upgraded to an emove cruiser S with about 500 miles on it in excellent condition. I got both of them for about 1/3 of new retail price. Sold the NIU after about a year for 100 less than I paid for it. I’m looking to upgrade again if I see what I want. I’m really liking to Roadrunner Rs5 max currently.
Emove cruiser The biggest consideration when venturing from mid to lower tier models is the frame quality. Stem snaps, folding mechanisms etc. Practicality isnt always practical But in good faith I can suggest the emove cruiser after a year on one
I think nowadays best bang for your buck is a hiley. They have several models all great options buddy. Get a steering damper if ur going to go over 35mph at any point or otherwise There's a lot of history and thought process behind the evolving scooter market to arrive at today's best options, and honestly most of the best scooters will just cost an unreasonable amount of money more than a hiley for not much noticeable difference. But I'll tell u straight 250lbs and hills? U want at least dual motor 1kw each with dual suspension, which u might end up beefing up for stiffer versions yourself. Youll probably get 1500lb shocks from the manufacturer and may find that's suitable for you But if you're going all out and potentially want a seat kit then you could check out willmason, hooga Daytona, 7260r, roadrunner, nami, or something similar from a reputable manufacturer Im not the kind of mainstream guy to advise segway. I dont like their designs, for very practical reasons, the least of which is specs, in example: the front fender on their 50mph model i dont think has room for knobbier tires, so you're kind of limited. Nor do I see a steering damper on that model, which is frankly the biggest deal breaker since its a safety hazard at that point. As for their zt3 model its single motor, and having 1500miles on an emove cruiser with similar power specs I can tell you at 250lbs you'll never hit their advertised speed, especially uphill and on a chilly day. You'll be flooring it for about 16mph. Segway has never been nor are they now a top pioneer in the escooter industry. I suggest more! Goodluck !
Then the emove cruiser would be the “best” Commuting scooter idk if it has an app but everything else it got, He didn’t give a price so id call that the best
Emove cruiser but that thing other than the battery life was an absolute piece of garbage scooter, so I would recommend the newer updated emove cruiser v2 if you plan on that, otherwise maybe go for a p100s
