I currently have a Vsett 10+, and while it’s relatively easy to maintain (brakes, tires, inner tubes), it’s not road legal where I live and tends to attract police attention. It’s also not very weather-resistant. I’ve been considering the Ninebot Max G3 E, but from what I’ve seen, tire changes look quite difficult due to the solid rim design. So I made a list of what I’m looking for: * **Easy to repair:** preferably split rims; no need to open the deck or disconnect motor cables for basic maintenance (tires, bearings, brake discs, etc.) * **Weather resistance:** should handle occasional rain without issues * **Range:** around 30 km in real-world conditions * **Comfort:** suspension both front and rear * **Brakes:** preferably mechanical (non-hydraulic) for simpler maintenance * **Repair costs:** should be reasonable and not require expensive parts or labor Overall, I’m looking for something reliable and low-maintenance — basically the “Toyota” of electric scooters. If anyone has suggestions that fit these criteria, I’d appreciate it.
Have heard great thing about G2 reliability but isn't 36V battery little bit too weak? I will not be be racing with this scooter but i heard if the battery drops to 50% it looses a lot of the power and becomes much slower? I wanna be hitting 25km/h always.
I am heavier than you by a considerable margin and I've got the Vsett 10+ which has been great, no complaints.
I have the same issue and have owned over 10 scooters in the past few years. I have sold all but two. Both Vsetts one is a Vsett10+ dual motor beast but only weighs 80lbs. The other is a Vsett8 single motor and I use this for short trips to the store. Both are over 3 years old and I have never had a problem with either of them. I am also a decent scooter mechanic and do all my own modifications and repairs. In the price range these scooters have no equal. In the USA I purchase my Vsett scooters from RevRides out of Washington state from their website. A quick search of the website will reveal everything you need to know.
I’ve logged seat time on most of the 2025 releases—Apollo City, NIU KQi Air, Vsett 10+, etc.—and the pattern is the same as last year: the lighter you go, the more you sacrifice ride comfort after the first five miles. For pure fun I’d still grab the Vsett (suspension wins), but if weight matters the KQi Air is the one you can haul up apartment stairs without regret. This looks very similar to my V-Sett 10+, which I love.
Hi all, I’m pretty deep into the scooter world but I’ve never done any crazy projects. I’m going off to college in September, and I thought it’d be fun to transform a regular scooter into at least a somewhat beast. The college is in a pretty major city, so it’d be my transportation around campus and the city. I want it to be light enough to where if my dorm is on the 4th floor, it won’t be a big deal. I love my Vsett 10+, but it’s much too heavy to carry. Budget isn’t a huge concern. The main mod I wanted to do was a VESC, and maybe a front suspension mod if it’s just a regular commuter scooter. I had a couple routes I was thinking of. The first was doing a commuter scooter. I could do the Hiboy S2 I already have, or pick up a Ninebot Max. I was also considering something similar to the Vsett 8- where it already has suspension, a decent battery and power, but still not too heavy. I wouldn’t mind using the old Alibaba if I went this route. Any guidance from people who have been in this situation or know people who have? Thanks
