I envy you! In Sweden it’s 20. But rental scooters like Lime and Ryde go 25… I got my Xiaomi 1S stolen a few years ago and the insurance payout was denied because the insurance company know that the scooter does 25kph in sport mode. So I should have had a Moped insurance instead. It’s such a terrible system! So, if you can’t comply, it’s best to just rock out…

This lil guy is still 20Kg, and I modded a new battery on it after 5 years of use. It can handle anything except sand. Gravel doesn't feel good, and I have to go slower tho. Originally had a ramge of 30km and had a speed of 20km/h. Also I did carry it whit a strap on my back sometimes, but that's not that fun, cus a single trap is not ideal for such heavy objects. The newer ones might be better in some ways. But I found this rly trustworthy
The only advantage of this scooter is that it is very compact. But all other technical characteristics do not differ from scooters of the average price category. In addition, it is quite expensive for the same average price category. The weight is 16.2 kg, so it's not even light. You need a compact scooter when traveling, not a compact scooter for storage. And the main problem with any device with moving parts is the breakdown of these very moving parts. The more moving parts there are in the device, the more often it will break. This additional folding mechanism will cause a lot of problems. You will also have to put your feet to the left and right of the frame to ride this scooter. This is not only unsafe, but also not comfortable. The natural position of the legs when riding is when one foot is in front and the other is behind, it is safe and comfortable. In fact, all scooters with a standard handlebar height are much more comfortable to drive for people of low stature, as it is more physically comfortable when the handlebar is in the chest area, rather than in the waist area. Almost all new scooter models weigh more than 15 kg (rather more than 16 kg). If the main thing for you is weight, not shock absorption, range, maximum speed, and all that modern scooters offer. It is worth paying attention to the old models of scooters. Xiaomi m365/1s/pro, Ninebot f25/f45/f2/e2. These are excellent scooters, lightweight and reliable, and they are quite inexpensive.
The Urbanglide 100 Max is solid for that age range but might be pushing your budget a bit. Have you looked at the Xiaomi Mi scooters? The Mi Essential or Mi 1S could be perfect - they're not kiddie scooters but won't break the bank either, and they handle mixed terrain pretty well
For that distance and weight the Xiaomi Mi 1S or Ninebot ES2 are solid budget picks that won't fall apart on you - both handle short commutes like a champ and you can usually snag them used for pretty cheap
Kugoo S1 Pro from 2019 and a used Xiaomi from 2020. No care taken to battery. Stored outside. Brakes and tires replaced.
Old model xiaomi pro 2 , 14kg , good battery 12.8ah , don't think any new left ? Plenty used avail. better than non-pro m365 or 1s
Anything dual motor that fits your budget. Single motor scooters struggle uphill, because hub motors don't have that much torque. I have a G2 Master and 90kg and haven't found a hill it won't climb. Still nothing compared to my BBSHD ebike though, that thing is a torque monster and pulls my 90kg and 2 kids (30kg) in a trailer up anything without breaking a sweat. That being said, I haven't tried a 2kw single motor scooter yet, but seeing how 2kw dual motor compares to a 1kw mid drive bike I'd say get a dual motor one.
I wouldn't know about that, I went with G2 Master because it was the fastest scooter under 1000€ I could find that isn't some no brand chinese bomb. I don't regret spending 850€ on it though, compared to my 500€ Xiaomi it's several times stronger, faster and a much better more stable ride than the toy I had before. I think it's worth spending a bit more, rather than saving 100€ only to find out it's no good and buying the more expensive one later anyway. I regret the Xiaomi, I was trying to save money, but I don't regret the Kukirin at all, so do what you want with that info.
