It's a good scooter, but it's heavy. If you can lift it - or if you never need to do so in the first place - go for it. Be aware that in contrast to older Xiaomis there isn't an easy way to delimit them (some firmware mods exist, but it's not as easy as flsahing via bluetooth), so if that's what you want you might have to look elsewhere.
Honey whale has bad reviews, some of them break while they are rolling and it has caused fractures haha, better buy a Xiaomi 4 Ultra, Niu/Nuuv Kqi2 Pro, and I think the Minka come out well, that brand is the Minka 800w, it is the best you can get for that price on this side of the pond, there is not much variety that is really quality in Mexico, at least in that price range
I have a Segway Max G30 and a Xiaomi 4 Ultra, and there’s a huge difference in ride comfort. When I’m on the Xiaomi, it feels like I’m riding on a cloud 😄 The battery is excellent — the only downside is that it’s heavy and the handlebar is quite wide.
Yes, of course. I misspoke. It’s harder to maneuver if you’re carrying it and avoiding door frames :)
And if I may add, there are now methods to boost top end. By 5kph with a simple adapter (doesn't sound much but it does make a considerable difference) or there is apparently a company that sells compatible controllers that can boost it to 45kph.. But I do agree the xiaomi 4 ultra is their best scooter, and the 5 series are a downgrade in comparison to the 4 ultra.
Xiaomi 4 Ultra. More than 2000km, I drive in all weathers, even in the snow, and no problems, no faults, no punctures. Simply incredible. Not fast, but super reliable.
4 Ultra is a beast. Not fast but absolutely reliable... 💭 2,500 km ridden ... no breakdowns, no defects, no flat tires. No modifications needed, no adjustments to make. I just inflate the tires once a week or every two weeks. It has large wheels, turn signals on the handlebar, built-in headlights and integrated lights. If I had to buy it again, I’d get the same one, immediately.
I would say no but that’s just me. I think they are low quality fast going orange colored scooters for kids… I would look at some segways like the max g3. From xiaomi the 4 ultra has much better range than the 5 series but they are harder to find.
Had it for a while. It’s the best scooter from Xiaomi with the only drawback being the weight. Portability is awful, acceleration, climbing angle, battery are all awesome. The suspension is great and you can actually offroad a little bit with it.
A ninebot E2 D or E2 Plus for suspensions and a little higher peak motor power would work for your 350$ budget although the range is like <20km at alright conditions. An E3 model like the Pro version is good as well and comes with a way better range and better motor, is also fairly new but it costs more like 450-500$. Xiaomi scooters are good as well and you could get like a generation 4 for up to 30 km of realistic range starting at like 400$. A used ninebot G30 from eg Facebook marketplace could be worth it if you find a good offer but please make sure that you’re actually buying something that’s still working properly (don’t consider it if the seller’s talking about some “Motor / Battery needs replacement” because there’s usually more wrong with it than just that) I hope I could help you and just hit me up if you got more questions.👍
