Xiaomi - Electric Scooter 5 Max

I just got Xiaomi Scooter 5 Max, you need the app to set it up and that's it. After that you dont need it, you can use it without the app.

Don't know about Pro but I have 5 Max and I'm super happy. For my 110kg weight it's perfect. Rides extremely smooth. Brakes could be better (only front one is analogue and the rear is regenerative breaking) but in 3 months of using it for work and riding I'm satisfied. Rear shocks have to be regularly lubed up though but I have no problems with anything else. It's perfect for me and my needs (not great with hills, it will get you up the hill but not fast and since I live in a flat city I'm OK with it). Weight is 22.5 kg or 50 pounds or whatever, can be folded and not too hard for me to carry. 5 Pro should be the same it just doesn't gave the same rear shock absorbers.

If you want something that isn’t random crap, the Xiaomi scooter 5 is currently £349. RWD, front fork suspension, 10” tires. Max battery range is 37 miles but realistically will get 20-22 miles, depending on speed/your weight/terrain. You won’t get anything better brand new at this price. If you *really* can’t go above £300, the Elite version is the basic spec in a similar in build but battery is smaller, probably get 12 miles. Both available directly and 2 year warranty. Niu Kqi 2 Pro and 100p might be on sale on Amazon, so check them out as well. Otherwise, have a look on Ebay for open box/new or used refurbished units from official business sellers. Can usually find some great deals with Segway/Xiaomi (G30, F2 Pro) and all covered with a year’s guarantee from Ebay. All go 25kmh. You don’t want to be going faster on other cheap no name scooters, but you can clear 35kmh with custom firmware on a good unit like the G30, Xiaomi Pro 2 etc.

You have some brutal boyueda scooters, with 60v and 38ah, they are outrageous, they are not more than $1300 on Alixpress If you are looking for something not so big you have the teverun and the iscooter (teverun better brand) You can also see what Xiaomi offers if you are not interested in something so powerful or so heavy, the 5 pro Max or the Max are great, what you save in money you can add accessories or an external battery

Can't help you about reviews, but I *can* tell you - from the tech specs and from user reports here - that E-series Ninebots below the E3 Pro aren't actually very good. They have weak powertrains and tiny ranges and they'll choke on any uphill; personally I'd avoid them all. The E3 Pro specifically is the only one with a half-decent powertrain; I'd imagine that's why people have more things to say about it. I *would* choose a Xiaomi 5 before any E-series, but I'd choose a Ninebot F3, cheaper F2, or even the older G30 before the Xiaomi 5.

Do you really think the Xiaomi 5 is better than the E3 Pro? From a price perspective, they are pretty much the same. The motor power is also quite similar 700W for the Xiaomi and 800W for the E3. Both have 10-inch tires. The Xiaomi has a bigger battery but is heavier. Also, the damping is better on the E3 Pro (both front and back) compared to only front suspension on the Xiaomi 5. If you want both front and back suspension on the Xiaomi, you have to buy the more expensive version. So, I would say: if you need more range, go with Xiaomi and if you want more comfort and don’t need a large battery, go with the Segway. I was choosing between the two and decided on the E3. It should arrive next week. But to be honest, you can’t go wrong with either at this price point; just keep in mind that both will struggle with anything above a 20degree uphill slope.

Si vas por un monopatín te sugiero que consideres los de xiaomi. Son los mas populares lo que significa que es más fácil conseguir repuestos. Si queres uno usado te diría que vayas por el modelo m365. Si en cambio queres uno nuevo yo iría por el Scooter Xiaomi 5. Nosotros tenemos 2 (m365 y scooter 3) y los usamos para viajes cortos. Y para eso es muy util. Ir al gimnasio, ir hasta una tienda en el centro o en algún lugar donde ir en auto complica pq no hay para estacionar, ir a la casa de algún amigo/a que quede cerca, para ir a un pub tmb para no tener manejar un auto alcoholizado, para ir al trabajo ya que lo doblas y lo metes en cualquier lado. Si bien el limite de velocidad suele ser 25km/h en la mayoría de los xiaomi podes desbloquear el firmware para ir más rápido. En particular mi m365 llega a unos 35km/h y la verdad no se si quiero ir más rápido que eso en un monopatín. Si no vas por uno de esos modelos... fijate bien el peso. Hay muchos que son más aparatosos y si bien son más cómodos para andar y quizás van más rápido y tienen mayor autonomía... son tan pesados que subir una escalera se hace muy difícil. Es un opción genial para ciertos viajes cortos. También consideraría una bici eléctrica como una opción similar.

That's not true. I'm sure there are plenty of companies putting their name on this scooter, but Xiaomi is not one of them. It's obviously based on and probably stolen from Xiaomi. It's basically the m365 with some dinky little front shocks thrown on as a afterthought. The m365 is the best selling scooter of all time (so far). It's basic, not very powerful, and obsolete by 2025 standards, but they were solid little scooters and really good for the money. It's like the Nokia 3310 of scooters. If it's built like a Xiaomi, great. But it's probably not. If they were a decent manufacturer, they probably be making scooters of their own design. It's pretty rare that you find a knock off that's equal to the original. "Oh my fake Rolex is so much better than the stuff that the guys that have been making watches for 400 years put out“-- said no one ever. Here's where it gets tricky. It MIGHT be pretty good, but even if your buddy got one from this company, it's a roll of the dice. Why? Because companies like this don't do any testing or quality control checks. And a lot of times they'll buy rejected components from other manufacturers. Segway takes a lot of shit for being expensive because...well, they're expensive. But a company like Segway is going to bench test each component individually and then test the completed build. If something is out of spec, it gets rejected. It might function, but fail to meet some criteria (efficiency, thermal load, or one of a dozen other criteria that I'm not smart enough to understand). Alas, they probably don't just run a band saw through those components that function but don't pass spec. They wind up in the factory seconds market. And that's where knockoffs and parts bin manufacturers buy a lot of their components. So maybe you get it and it's fine. Better than 50% odds I'd bet. But how long until something fails. Or the wild card-- what if the wrong thing in the battery fails? Is it UL certified? That's really important. It's a pretty basic certification, but if they haven't bothered to go through the certification process, or worse couldn't pass it, you don't want to have anything to do with that scooter. You don't want it in your house, you don't want to in your neighbor's house. Stay away.
