well you didn't specify in your OP what mileage you need exactly - when you say "last mile scooter" I would generally assume that 7.5 miles is plenty. But be aware that manufacturer's claimed max range on scooters is generally massively overstated! They are tested (if so) under conditions that are not possible in real life useage, so as a general rule of thumb you should take the manufacturer's claim and take half to maximum 2/3 of the range as realistic. So in this case if the manufacturer says 7.5 miles you can expect something between 4 and 5 miles ...

so you need something with more like 10 miles realistic range? That would not be a last-mile scooter anymore then ;) and potentially heavier due to the bigger battery needed.

I don't know where you at, so I don't know if Xiaomi scooters are an option for you (they are not available in the US) but I have a small Xiaomi Essential that is pretty small, portable and has 20km claimed range, so in real life it gets me between 10 and 15km ...
