I use oral b at home and aquasonic for travel! I can't deal with the manual toothbrushes ! It is only 20 bucks and lasts about a month on a charge ! https://www.aquasonic.com/products/icon-rechargeable-power-toothbrush

I just got an Aquasonic Icon and used it on my first trip. Holds a charge, decent vibration and packs small in its travel container. I prefer Oral B spin type brushes at home and I have not yet found a portable, travel sized equivalent. But if Sonicare type brushes are your preference, then the Icon might be worth looking into.

I had the same conundrum. I use an Oral B at home but couldn’t find a travel sized spin brush. I ended up buying an Aquasonic Icon because they are small. I’d say it’s way better than manual but likely not as good as a full sized Philips. (Can’t say because I have never used one.)

I LOVE [this toothbrush](https://a.co/d/f4Z5koK) \- it's portable, gentle, quiet, and the battery lasts up to a month. I actually like it so much I ended up buying one for home, too.

r/onebagWhich toothbrush for travel (Below $30, cleans well, and either battery or rechargable by usb-c)

I use the Aquasonic Icon and it's probably the best choice. Not USB-C, but the cable doesn't take much space and battery lasts 1 month. It's only $20 and unlike the Phillips One, it's almost powerful as a regular Sonicare (24k vibrations per minute vs 13k for the Phillips One). I had a Oral-B for at home and the Icon for travel but recently switched to using the Icon full-time since it feels so good.

I use an aqua sonic. It’s the same as the Phillips diamond line but lasts longer, holds a longer charge, and is $36 on amazon. I have 2 -one in my house and one in my luggage. It doesn’t take up room

I use an Aquasonic. No pressure sensor but there are regular, soft, whitening, and massage modes. Battery lasts a long time... brushes are easy to get and it came with a ton to start. Also use Sensodyne toothpaste and do feel like that makes a slight difference.

I've had an Aquasonic that has lasted me for years now. It definitely is a step up from a manual toothbrush.

r/Frugal$120 budget, any electric toothbrush recs?

OP, I bought this model, too. I went ahead and bought a set of soft brush head refills. They're not going to 'go bad' waiting in my closet. Sonicare's patent expired and now many electric toothbrushes have the same technology. I would caution that an electric toothbrush does not provide the same care as a water flosser. I also enjoy my $40 Amazon water flosser (pre-COVID). I've had to replace the hose/head on it once for $9 for the part. If the dentist has advised you to buy a flosser... buy the flosser. It really helps your gums.

r/DentalHygienePurchased an AquaSonic toothbrush a few months ago, having second thoughts. Considering switching to Oral-B iO 3 because of concerns around plaque building up despite meticulous flossing and brushing, some guidance/advice would be appreciated
about 1 month ago

Hi, as my title says, I'm planning on switching my electric toothbrush but I don't know if I should fully commit yet. The main motivation for switching is that I don't know how well my current toothbrush actually cleans because it's an off-brand Sonicare. AquaSonic is not as well known as Oral-B/Sonicare but I got it because it was on a good price and I read reviews that stated it cleans just as well as the big names. A budget Sonicare, basically. It seemed good at the time but now I have doubts. The reason I'm hesitant to make the jump to Oral-B is because I'm not sure if my cleaning technique is 100% the best it can be. I've watched many videos, I know that it needs to face 45 degrees and the bristles need to go around/under the gums to clean, etc. and I follow that religiously. I'm careful and I take between 3-4 minutes to brush (I ignore the automatic timer and go for a longer clean). I floss every night and use anti-plaque mouth rinse after lunch around mid-day and rinse with water after eating anything after that. Still, I'm getting that nasty yellowish tartar build-up and discoloration around my gums and on my teeth. It looks like I don't even have a proper routine based on the appearance of my teeth, when that couldn't be further from the truth. What I don't want to do, is buy the Oral-B thinking it's going to be the shiny new toy which fixes my dental routine, only to run into the same problems 3 months after my next clean and then I find out that the problem wasn't in my toothbrush in the first place. There's always a sale on the Oral-B but I feel paralyzed because I don't want to regret my purchase. My plan is to book another hygienist appointment, and then ask her what she recommends. Any advice or insights would be appreciated, thank you.

Not exactly small or light, but I use an $40 Aquasonic at home, and I like it so well, I may start taking it on trips. It comes with a travel case (& 8 brush heads), and uses a proprietary "mag-safe"style inductive charger but I haven't found out how to run it out of charge (rated at 2xday for 4 weeks) so I would just not take the charger for any of my usual short trips.
