I decied to buy the new Laifen wavepro and it looks pretty solid esp for the price. Might be worth checking out!
I've honestly had better luck with the Laifen Wave Pro than with the last couple brushes I bought. My old Oral-B was decent for like 3 years, then the battery started fading and eventually it just lived on the charger. So far the Laifen's been way less annoying, and weirdly I feel like I get a cleaner result in less time.
Too early for me to rank it over Sonicare or Oral-B for long-term durability, but I like using the Laifen more day to day. Better battery than my old Oral-B, quieter, and it feels cleaner without that overly harsh vibe.
I travel a lot for work too. Two things I always bring now are a pair of long-lasting Bluetooth earbuds and a multi-port charger. The charger is honestly a lifesaver, otherwise the cables for my phone, laptop, and random gadgets would completely take over my bag. For personal care, I recently switched to the Laifen Wave Pro toothbrush. They are mostly known for hair dryers—I actually bought their Mini dryer about a year and a half ago, and it travels everywhere with me because it packs small and dries my hair super fast. Since the dryer was such a good investment, I decided to give their new brush a try, and it’s surprisingly solid. The biggest win for my travel sanity is that the battery lasts for like 70 days. I just leave the magnetic charger at home completely. One less cable/dock to worry about makes hotel-hopping way less chaotic.
While I also am a fan of the Laifen Wave (the one that charges USB-C), it might be a little disingenuous to call it BIFL after a couple days. I’ve had mine 6 months and while it seems to be holding up well, I’ve had other Sonicare or Oral-B electric toothbrushes fail after 9-12 months.
I've been rethinking my dental setup since starting Invisalign. Brushing 4-5 times a day made me realize that frugal isn't just about the lowest upfront price, it's about long term prevention and recurring costs. I recently switched to a high frequency oscillating model called Laifen wave pro, and it's been a surprise win for my budget. Unlike the major legacy brands that overcharge for $10+ replacement heads, this one's refills are a fraction of that price. To me, spending a bit more on a solid tool now to avoid a $500 filling later feels like a smart move. Do you guys consider high performance personal care an investment in prevention, or is sticking to the basics still the most frugal way to go?
It's Laifen wave pro. And It is the wide angle oscillating movement (sweeps + vibrates). It gets into the gaps around the attachments much better than a standard sonic brush. Since I have to brush 4-5 times a day, the fact that the replacement heads are so affordable is a huge relief for the budget.
If you like vibrating - Philips sonicare. If you like oscillating - oral b If you like vibrating and oscillating - laifen. I've tried all 3. I prefer laifen. I know many ppl who do not like the sensation of vibrations on teeth. If you belong to this category buy an oral b.
