My oral b from 2018 came with a little travel case, I run the case through the dishwasher when it's dirty.

husband and I have been sharing the same oral-b "genius" or whatever it's called for almost 9 years now (we have our own heads). Both of us have seen immense improvements at the dentist. idk about misuse but my oral-b has 4 different settings the dentist above mentioned (as a patch) if it's too harsh for sensitive gums. It pulses every 30 seconds until 2 minutes is up which helps me with adequate brushing. Just my experience, but maybe the model is more relevant in this situation!

It’s absolutely disgusting. I do not recommend the IO to my patients any longer because of this issue and I run the head in an ultrasonic pod weekly (as well as taking off the brush head, letting it air dry, wiping down the handle, etc. I am METICULOUS and it’s gnarly.) The Oral-B genius series is a lot easier to take care of, but it’s the old series and it’s a lot louder/clunkier of a brush but still effective. I just switched back to my BURST Pro toothbrush, which is a similar toothbrush to sonicare in terms of movements and it has a lifetime warranty if it breaks. Oral B has the pressure light that I’m a big fan of. I personally use a sonicare but have purchased oral b’s for family members who needed the guidance feature. Love both, if you’re new to electric brushing both sonicare and oral B are amazing. Look for coupons for the brush heads, if you can find a great deal stock up and get that brush also

I’ve used the genius and the io in the past

I love both. I recommend oral b with the pressure indicator light- they have the market on it. I had to do surgery on my sonicare. That screw in the center notoriously is faulty. Conclusion: if you think you press too hard, or want more of a feedback on how you’re doing I recommend the oral b. If you just want an excellent brush and don’t care about the pressure go sonicare. That’s pretty average for an electric toothbrush. Rechargeable toothbrushes typically last much longer than replaceable battery toothbrushes, and the rechargeable batteries are more high quality than the replaceable battery versions too. I recommend an oral b genius over the oral b io. It’s cheaper and has a pressure indicator light like the io. It also uses the older “regular” style toothbrush heads (which I prefer over the new heads for the io). It should last you about 4 years too
