Had oral b (model x I think ) paid 160€, it lasted 1.5 year , Got a Phillips 9100 model, have it 3 years now.,
Manual - Curaprox 5460 Electric - oral b genius X
Nah I had one of the expensive ones, geniusx or something have the exact same problem. But it broke right before warranty ended, so I got it replaced for free. That one broke right after warranty ended for the same problem.
It’s absolutely disgusting. I do not recommend the IO to my patients any longer because of this issue and I run the head in an ultrasonic pod weekly (as well as taking off the brush head, letting it air dry, wiping down the handle, etc. I am METICULOUS and it’s gnarly.) The Oral-B genius series is a lot easier to take care of, but it’s the old series and it’s a lot louder/clunkier of a brush but still effective. I just switched back to my BURST Pro toothbrush, which is a similar toothbrush to sonicare in terms of movements and it has a lifetime warranty if it breaks. If that’s something you’d be interested in giving a shot you could use my promo code KXBGHA. Otherwise, sonicare is also a solid brush, but I would make sure to get one with at least three intensities (which is different from modes!)
I got an oral b genius about 8/10 years ago. It's still going strong and I love it. It has a light that comes on 8f you press too hard.
Oral B has the pressure light that I’m a big fan of. I personally use a sonicare but have purchased oral b’s for family members who needed the guidance feature. Love both, if you’re new to electric brushing both sonicare and oral B are amazing. Look for coupons for the brush heads, if you can find a great deal stock up and get that brush also
I’ve used the genius and the io in the past
I love both. I recommend oral b with the pressure indicator light- they have the market on it. I had to do surgery on my sonicare. That screw in the center notoriously is faulty. Conclusion: if you think you press too hard, or want more of a feedback on how you’re doing I recommend the oral b. If you just want an excellent brush and don’t care about the pressure go sonicare. I have a blue tooth enabled Oral B, and a grocery store knockoff that uses the same brush heads. I like the knockoff better. The most important part is the brush head. Compare and get the brush head that’s best for you.
Get the cheapest oral b that includes a pressure sensor and the quadrant timer. Anything else is a waste of money. I used to have the top of the range oral b with Bluetooth and an app, when it wore out I got a standard one because no one needs any of that shit.
