I have the OralB iO 7 series. I got it because it came in purple and I was replacing my old OralB Pro that I had for going on 10 years. I am not a huge fan of the iO heads as compared to the ones I used on my old model. I rinse the heck out of these heads after brushing and when I change them I still have buildup on the inside where the head attaches. I am a bit of a germaphobe and it drives me insane. I have started pulling it off once a week at-least to clean inside which is annoying. So if I were going to buy again I would get one of the Oral B Pro brushes. My best friend has a sonicare and she loves it. One of the features they have that I wish Oral B would add is that it automatically shuts off at 2 mins. I believe mine will shut off at 4-5 min…which is excessive and sometimes I think I brush too long because I forget to pay attention to and count the vibrations that let you know time has passed.
I agree. With one exception….the battery on my iO7 is really crap compared to my previous toothbrush which was a higher model but not an iO. Braun is still my favorite because I love the round head shape vs the oblong of Sonicare. Edit to add that my very original Braun is still going strong. Handed down to a granddaughter. Yes it lives on the charger now but still works just fine. They are well made.
I just bought an oral B io7 and it’s amazing. It cleans so much better than my sonicare. That said I got it on Amazon prime deal. It is not cheap
I found the oral b iO series is way better than my sonicare. I kept getting bad reviews of my teeth each time I went to the dentist. After buying oral b that has stopped.
Check the brands swiss websites if they have free testing / return periods. With this way I tested sonic and mechanical toothbrushes from Oral-B and Philips, I liked the Oral-B iO mechanical one the best. Which series doesn’t really matter. I went with Series 7 as it was heavily on sale. With the mechanical one you have to change how you brush: keep the head on each teath side for a few seconds and don’t got back/forth or up/down like with a normal hand toothbrush.
Oral B iO Series 7. Love that thing. Switched over from Sonicare and this thing is leagues better.
The Oral B io Series 7 light changes color from green to red if you are pushing too hard.
My Oral B io Series 7 kept enough charge for a 2 week trip. I recently replaced it after 4 years because I want to start fresh. I would rinse the brush off after use and put on the charger right away. That made a mess over time. This time, I have a cup for it to dry in and I will only charge it once a week after cleaning it more thoroughly.
Another Oral B io Series 7.
