I had an old Oral B electric brush for 10+ years and changed to an io8 brush last year. The difference is night and day. Definitely recommend one!! Your mouth and teeth feel so much cleaner. My dentist noticed the difference the appointment after I changed brush.
My sister is a dentist and recommended me the OralB io8. It does the job nicely and I like the app
Have the io8 and I’m evangelical about how clean my teeth feel
I have broken down 3 sonicare dimond clean ones, they are rubbish, one silicone will fail, water will get into the system. On Oral B since then (iO8)
Omg I just bought the iO 8 from shoppers yesterday and used it twice so far and I can feel the vibration in my brainnnn 😭 when I’m brushing my top teeth. I used to use a random one from Amazon before it and it was nothing like that. Is it something you can get used to? I am afraid I spent all that money and won’t like it.
Honestly it’s personal preference. Both are well tested and proven, and both will claim theirs is better than the other. Clinically though, using either one properly (2 mins, 2x per day, WITH flossing at least once per day) is going to have good results and be far ahead of most people. Same thing with price points, the fancier ones have bells and whistles if you want to feel fancy, but the nearest to base level of each *with pressure detection* is great and won’t burn a hole in your wallet like the top tier ones. I’m also a recent convert to the iO series and I really like it. After using both brands, I simply prefer the round head. But also as a professional I also like the brand that gives me the best incentive to try their newest line, so I switch back and forth more often than a typical user. Definitely watch some videos on your water flosser. They can be super helpful in perio management especially if you have deep pockets. It doesn’t replace the need for good professional care on regular intervals, but it can absolutely help you stay in maintenance rather than progression. Don’t hesitate to ask your own dental hygienist for personalized recommendations on your routine! We LOVE when people are eager for help
