I’ve tried several lightweight AAA type brushes and they lack horsepower. I got a USB charger for my Sonicare.
The small battery models just don’t have the horsepower and you’ll get what you pay for. The Oral B AA battery model has decent power but it’s a bulky as my Sonicare and an accessory USB charger.
I would check to see if a USB charger is available for your Oral B. The exact model number would be helpful.
I tried several AAA models with mediocre performance. The Oral B Clinical that runs on two AA batteries is much better.
I would get a home style Sonicare and a USB C charger. They aren’t much different in size and weight than the AA battery Oral B and better performance.
Switching to an electric toothbrush has been life-changing for me. I made the switch a few years ago and noticed my gums became much healthier. I prefer using the Oral‑B Pro 100 battery operated version instead of the built in rechargeable type. I just use rechargeable batteries. I also buy the generic replacement brush heads instead of branded ones.
Got the cheapest Oral B Braun model from nearby Walgreens, I was like 30 bucks, still strong after 5 years, even rubber not coming off or feel sticky. It’s the model has no additional function besides power On/Off.
