Which power tooth brush were you using? Some brushes have different brush heads, I personally like the oral B with the sensitive head, then there are a few other ones like the floss action which I would not recommend if you are sensitive. You can check their website for more options.
I love both. I recommend oral b with the pressure indicator light- they have the market on it.
I had to do surgery on my sonicare. That screw in the center notoriously is faulty.
Conclusion: if you think you press too hard, or want more of a feedback on how you’re doing I recommend the oral b. If you just want an excellent brush and don’t care about the pressure go sonicare.

My dentist said the same. I purchased a Braun Oral-B rechargeable toothbrush and a NBGRLVS Water Flosser. Total cost for the two was less than $60. I LOVE them both! Replacement heads for the toothbrush are less than $5 ea for the name brand.
A helpful hint regarding the water flosser. My hygienist said to fill the tank with very warm water, and since the flosser is waterproof, use it when I shower. This is a tremendous help with avoiding unexpected messes from errant water sprays.
I can't deinfluence you. Also recommended by dentists. But not just any electric toothbrush.
Wag yung mga replaceable batteries. Only rechargeable
Buy the "Oscillating" ones. Not just any electric.
depends on why you need it - if you can use the normal brush as intended- you are good.
i was recommended by my dentist to get an electric toothbrush because in some parts i was over / aggressive cleaning leading to wear out and cavities which required a root canal, while in some areas i was too soft that enough cleaning didn’t happen.
with electric - i only had to hold the brush against my teeth and the action of the brush did the cleaning as long as i slowly moved on each tooth. that has helped me a lot .

the oral b one broke down , so tried the perfora slim one - and it’s good but doesn’t work enough for me (but may work for you , like it works for some of my friends)
i really love the new perfora one cause it has usb c charging and ‘feels’ more powerful - but all of them have almost same level of cleaning
