Philips Sonicare - Philips One by Sonicare Battery Toothbrush (HY1100/01, HY1100/02, HY1100/03, HY1100/04, etc.)

You can do it for a lot less. A Sonicare One (that runs on a AAA battery) is like $15 and just as good as any other Sonicare i.e. really good. My last Sonicare rechargeable lasted -- I shit you not -- twenty years. But I got the One because it was good to have a good toothbrush at work as well as at home, plus it's nice not having to put the thing on a charger (or travel with the charger). Likewise, a generic water flosser that runs on AA batteries is like $40. My Walmart generic one has been going strong for a decade.

Like many said already, look at the Phillip's Sonicare one, AAA version. Last a long time, slim, can be taken apart, packs well. That's my travel toothbrush and I love it.

Yes. I have the Philips One brush that uses a regular AAA battery. I carry a spare AAA battery with me but I haven’t needed it. It can go into checked luggage. It’s really small and doesn’t take up that much more room. It’s fine for 2 weeks.

Philips One, in the AAA battery option. This is a sealed sonic mechanism, not a cheap and less effective spinner (which also suffer from toothpaste egress). And I'm not new to this game; I've owned three large sonicare systems over the last decade or so. The P.One blows it away in a tiny size, crazy battery life (months!), and zero obsolescence because there's no soldered in LiOn battery that's degrading every charge until the entire system is junk (hello several $hundred dollar sonicare system that I've replaced every 3 years).

Yes, because it's one of the items that give me the comfort of home. I also have chronic pain issues, so I appreciate the help I can get from an electric toothbrush with scrubbing my teeth better. At home it's my "extra toothbrush" that I bring on the go, and use when someone is in the bathroom at home and I can't access my regular electric toothbrush. 😂 Mine is an orange Phillips One that is AAA battery-powered.

Many of the Sonicare models use a small USB charging puck. They also have the Philips One which has two models, AAA or USB rechargeable. I use the AAA model when traveling but note that it is ridiculously weak compared to the cheapest Sonicare model. If you find your electric toothbrush is an improvement to your oral hygiene compared to a manual toothbrush, then it's absolutely worth the extra space.

The motor is definitely a lot weaker than a regular electric toothbrush, but considering the size which is not much bigger than those bulkier manual toothbrush, I'll call that decent for only $20-25. I do recommend getting the model # HY1100 (instead of HY1200). HY1100 is powered by AA battery (last about 3 months on daily use) which I can get replacement anywhere I go. HY1200 is rechargeable and more expensive, but I've seen lots of bad reviews on Amazon mentioning it won't charge after a few months of use.
