Absolutely love my sonicare but I've no experience with the oral B. I have a feeling you can't go wrong with either.
Just switched to electric 6 months ago after being a manual brush holdout forever. Holy shit the difference is insane. That fuzzy plaque feeling is completely gone and my teeth feel like I just left the dentist every day. I got the Sonicare ProtectiveClean 6100 and love it
I had really bad staining from coffee and red wine, and my dentist told me to upgrade from a manual brush to an electric one. I bought the Sonicare 6100 and within a few weeks I actually noticed my teeth looking whiter. Not like Hollywood bleaching white, but definitely brighter. I think the consistency of brushing for the full two minutes (thanks to the built-in timer) made the biggest difference.
Fairly new concept of a product. Research says that u brushes are not the best at removing plaque on all the surfaces of teeth. Your best options are electrical rechargeable toothbrushes that have round oscillating heads. I can also add that in my clinical experience electrical toothbrushes are superior and the best options for consistent plaque removal. The best ones are expensive but worth the investment. They can last a full decade if you care for it properly therefore getting your money’s worth.
I personally use Oral b IO but the oral b genius X is great too. Another great brush is Phillips Sonicare with pressure sensor. https://www.bestproductsreviews.com/sonic%20toothbrush%20with%20pressure%20sensor?targetid=kwd-960361156&matchtype=e&device=m&campaignid=23519874716&creative=795668284290&adgroupid=192989034935&feeditemid=&loc_physical_ms=1027188&loc_interest_ms=&network=g&devicemodel=&placement=&keyword=$philips%20sonicare%20electric%20toothbrushes&target=&aceid=&adposition=&trackid=us_all_top_2025&mId=407-132-4411&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23519874716&gbraid=0AAAAACWZmZnCbLT498wecNTVfRLsZJliW&gclid=CjwKCAiAzZ_NBhAEEiwAMtqKywF0P1TfZugzuLCAwYg3C-ozXUpJhVONgh8GGRU6zXrCG_VlouGMCxoCsB0QAvD_BwE
Dental hygienist here. I’ve used both types of brushes and both are great. I personally love the round head from oral b and oscillating action, HOWEVER I hate how disgusting their brushes get. They have a round opening on the handle that collects bacteria and gets gross. I am planning on switching to a Sonicare again after years of being an oral-b user. Both brushes are well research and would be solid choices though.
+1 Nekem a fogorvosom ajánlotta, amikor rákérdeztem, hogy melyik típus lenne a célnak megfelelő. Az érzékeny fogak miatt a 6100-as illetve a 6500-as közül választhattam (árban ugyanannyiba kerültek egy akció során).
