Based on 1 year's data from Mar 20, 2026 How it works
I've had the first gen Suri about a year and a half and I'm a big fan. I switched from an Oral-B with rubbery parts that got gunked up and gross. I keep mine mounted horizontally on the mirror stand (attached to one of the shelves of my medicine cabinet) so that probably helps. I will say that in the last few months I've seen a real drop-off in battery life, going from seeming to last forever without a charge to needing one about every 8-10 days.
I've had it about 1.5 years. Since I posted that, I feel like it's gone back to lasting more like 2-3 weeks on a charge. I don't track it officially, though I probably should. I'd had a really short cycle right before seeing your post and was frustrated about it, but possible it was user error and I didn't leave it charging long enough. I haven't contacted them since they're UK-based and I'm US. I know my brush initially shipped from the US, but wasn't sure if repairs might go through the UK and be subject to tariffs. If it gets worse again, I might reach out.
I’m surprised no one has mentioned [Suri](https://www.trysuri.com/en-us/pages/our-story)! I use it for both home and travel. When traveling, to keep things minimal, I remove the head and store both the base and head in a toiletry zippered pocket. It does come with a nice case for charging, but I usually charge it before my trip to avoid the need for it. If it’s a long trip, I’d probably bring the magnetic cable, which has a smaller footprint compared to the travel case. PS. I have version 1.0, looks like they have a newer model. Interesting!
I've had my V1.0 for almost 3 years now, besides the charging part getting corroded (I started using my case to charge ) I love it and never experienced issues with it. Super easy, light weight I travel with it all the time.
went through way too many Sonicares in my life. My Suri 1.0 is really well made and has a long battery life even after 2 years.

Love my Suri, battery lasts for months, comes with a case for travelling that kills bacteria, and it's a lot less clunky than any other i've tried
I use a Suri brush which lasts for ages, but most importantly the storage case you charge it via uses standard USB-C so I could still charge it if needed.
SURI is the best electric eco friendly one I could find although it’s not truly plastic free. I got mine several years ago -there may be others now. The heads are plant based and recyclable and the body is aluminum. It is modular so they can recycle components at the end of its life. You can’t replace the battery yourself but they can swap it out for you. They are vegan and cruelty free. They offset carbon emissions.
>If i am buying another, which one? [Suri](https://www.trysuri.com/en-us/products/suri-sustainable-sonic-toothbrush-uv-c-led-case). They are metal and meant to be reuse/recyclable, but possibly too small/tightly built for DIY repair. I expect their toothbrushes will live longer on average because they encourage people to use a magnetic mount to hold the toothbrush day to day. This is much better than leaving it on the charger! Leaving a brush on the charger will shorten the battery life. I went through two that lasted 5 years each. A friend who doesn't leave it on the charger has had one 10 years and it's still going strong.
Never heard of Nada, but I use the SURI electric toothbrush, it's made entirely out of aluminium and you can send them for repair /recycling. You also keep used heads and send them for recycling too.
I have a suri brush, it’s compact and in its case I can charge it with a standard usb c. My annoyance with my older sonicare is the size of the proprietary charger. Plus the charge lasts like a month or two and they seem like a solid, eco minded company. It’s not quite as vigorous as my sonicare but it’s much better than the quip I’ve tested
