The Black Friday deal was too good to say no. DF64 grinder and the Luce. Only downside is that the steam is so powerful and strong, and there is a bit of a steep learning curve for me to get the microfoam just right for just a small portion of milk. Slowly getting it dialled. Love it, we’re making 3-4 coffees a day on her. Also plugged the machine into a smart outlet so it would turn on 20min before I wake up each morning and she’s ready to go!
Recently picked up a Bezzera Luce with PID, I have to say it’s been pretty impressive how I can make drinks back to back , including lattes .
Well, sadly I didn't get any thoughts back before needing to purchase. Understandable, considering Bezzera is a lesser-known brand in North America. Both of those options had compelling reasons, but in the end, I went with the Bezzera Luce. So far, I am super impressed. The build quality is really nice and the easily adjusted OPV means I can get right to that perfect 9-bar shot within seconds no matter which beans I'm using. The steam power is unreal - I am heating 4oz of milk in about 11 seconds and the microfoam is of exceptional quality too. This Luce is an amazing purchase.
DF-64 (Gen 2.5) has been amazing for me and my Luce.
I just got a Bezzera Luce and the thing can crank out milk drinks. Coming from a Bambino Plus, the steam time is bonkers. I also single dose and have found temperature is great with the time between grinding and prep and pulling the next shot. No complaints.
