Get a Delonghi. First one I purchased lasted 10 years before it unfortunately crapped itself. Have now replaced with another Delonghi. Easy to clean and maintain, don’t skip out on the descaling as and when it needs it. Simple to use as well.
I know it's more than when you have said you budget is but we have this machine this past year, works great we make a minimum of 4 coffees a day and multiple at the weekend with visitors. https://www.buyitdirect.ie/p/delonghi-la-specialista-arte-espresso-coffee-machine-black-ec9155.mb We then get a 3kg bag of coffee beans from here, it usually does 3+ months and has a seal on it to keep it all fresh https://pscoffeeroasters.com/collections/frontpage/products/brazil-carmo-estate
Is this a trend with semi automatic machines? I have the la specialista arte and finding it difficult to get a smooth 20-30 second extraction. I feel like the coffee needs to be finer than the grinder is allowing
Hi, here's a link about the De'Longhi Specialista Arte that I own and use. You can make very good coffee with it, but be aware that you'll need to tweak things to get the most out of specialty coffee. https://www.reddit.com/r/espresso/s/afxLkxYl1MCheers!
I bought a De'Longhi La Specialista Arte in 2019 for $500. Never had an issue, has a great grinder and everything you need and simple to use
I have the same machine, it's about 8 years old now, and still going strong. I've never had an issue with it either. I've found that the freshness of the beans makes the biggest difference. Find a local roaster and try some different beans until you find one that you like. Once you learn how to froth and texture the milk (takes a bit of practice), it's dead easy to use.
I used that machine everyday for 3 years until it died on me recently. It’s a great little machine! Though we since upgraded to the La Specialista and having the bean grinder is great.
DeLonghi LaSpecialista. I've had min3 for close to 5 years, and it feels like it's still brand new. I love the built-in tamper and grinder, and I love how easy it is to make great drinks with it. If you're really into making a great espresso shot, you can buy replacement portafilters to replace the pressurized one that comes with it. From what I've read, the new models have regular portafilters.
