It pulls excellent shots as far as I'm concerned! I am able to get all the notes of my coffee out of it. Of course, this is only possible with a good grinder and solid tamp. I believe those things are possible with cheaper gear than I decided for purchase, I am however satisfied with what Ive settled with. It's on sale right now at $130, down from like $300ish. THE STOCK BASKET INCLUDED IS NOT TRUE DOUBLE SHOT HOWEVER!!!!!! it comes with a non-pressured set of single/double shot baskets for the portafilter, however, the double is a curved-wall 14g basket. How do I know this? first, I tried putting 18g inside and it got stuck on the head. And 17g. And 16g. Even 15.5g lol. Too full. 13.5g seemed to be a sweet spot for my coffee/grind. At least for that size basket. I also ordered a 14g basket online, specifically for light-roasts, before the machine showed up. Imagine my surprise when I realized I had two of the same 14g baskets! If you want some serious shots and caffeine from this guy, a straight-walled non-pressurized 18g basket is entirely in order! I found one on Seattlecoffeegear under the rocket espresso™ line for $10 that fit perfectly in the 58mm portafilter included. Pulling the 18g basket doubles @32 seconds, 17.5 grams of coffee. soooooo delicate and tasty.
