Got mine a week ago and also got the new grinder. I am having a hard time finding the right setting😤. 6-9 for espresso, but I am currently at 6.2 or 3 and my coffee comes out ssslooow.

Based on their materials list on their website for the machine, it looks like the internal piping that delivers water to brew head and steam wand are made of PTFE (Teflon).

It has a stainless steel brew boiler for coffee and a thermoblock with stainless steel heating element for the steam. We just got ours this week as well. Very happy so far with quality of build.

Congrats! Got ours earlier this week in the grey. Pairing it with a Starseeker e55 pro for now.

I just cleaned mine today and it’s similar to yours, did you ever get a reply regarding the coating? https://preview.redd.it/4bt6vh3lfnng1.jpeg?width=2316&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d39719f371f2cc15daa31074fbd38415a34d3b81

Just got my 3028A, it is very pretty machine, I think default 25 seconds timer is not good for me, will work on pre infusion etc and share update if anyone is interested.

some of these models have 2-3 thermoblocks others real boiler and thermoblock and are not temp stable. the ones with "real" boilers are better. unfortunately they call them all boilers. (3007L was upgraded to 3007Z with a stronger thermoblock) CRM3028: Muti-function for making coffee, steam and hot water; * Dual italian pump with 15bar pressure; * **Dual boilers**: one is 550ml S.S boiler for coffee, **another is thermoblock** with S.S. heating element for steam; * Adjustable coffee temperature/brewing time/pre-infusion time; * 1.7L removable water tank; * With pressure gauge + PlD display.

I just got this machine and it awesome! The Pros: -clean and small profile -heavy built quality, all stainless steel (better build quality compared to plastic Breville) -you can adjust pressure -easy settings, prinfusion, milk steaming temps, etc - love the automatic steam wand (u can select manual mode as well) once you get used to automatic temperature you will never go back - very quiet -medium power steam wand (way better than the Breville-) -heats up super fast (machine ready to use in under 5 mins) Cons: -The portifilter basket that comes with the machine sucks too shallow and can barely fit a screen puck - No low water warning, u can run out of water in the middle of a shot - steam wand ready temp doesn't match the main broiler temp, so even though main temp is reached you still have to wait a little more for steam wand to reach max pressure (but it's still not that long, just wished it would match up) -steam wand is not a boiler, but they use a thermal block (only bad because of the annoying thermal block clicking, but u can steam cup after cups of coffee ) Overall, I love love this machine!

So far if you email them questions they are more responsive than Brevilles customer service. Can't say anything about technical issues yet since my machines still new.

It is now for sales in north america for $599 if anyone is wondering. Looks like a game changer machine.

Yes Gemilai seems closer to the source factory than Miicoffee and Turin which rebrand for non Asian markets.

Still waiting for this to be in stock. Seems to be dual boiler and looks much better than the Legato and Apex.

This is true but I have it now and I can steam the moment the brewing ends which I think is more than sufficient. Really cool features though like programmable pre-infusion (infusion time and hold time) that holds pressure. The pressure knob is so easy to turn it can be done during a shot (manual lowering pressure late in a shot).

Concur with the Gemilai. I have the 3006 “owl” and it’s a fantastic machine but thermoblock only. It still makes fantastic shots though and I can honestly get as good if not better stuff out of this machine than on our cafe’s Appia Life when I’ve got it dialed in! Gemilai is turning out some really great prosumer type machines for really great prices. If I were to upgrade to a boiler machine, I would also go with the 3028A. Based on specs alone, I can’t see how anything else comes close for $750. I see its on a valentines special for $640 USD which is crazy good for the price! They probably run sales in this price range frequently so don’t pay full price on it!

Gemilia Ele G3028A and a DC63 Conical Grinder. Why This Is My End Game Setup (And Why I Don’t Need a $2K Machine) I’m running a Gemilai Ele G3028A with a DC63 conical grinder and honestly… I’m done chasing upgrades. People love saying you need a $2,000+ machine to be “serious,” but this thing already checks the same boxes. It’s a true dual boiler with a dedicated brew boiler and a dedicated steam boiler, so brew temp doesn’t fluctuate while steaming, there’s no waiting between shots and milk, and steam is strong and dry with fast recovery. That’s the main reason people jump to prosumer machines in the first place and I already have it. It also has a heavy brass group head with 550mL of thermal mass, so heat retention and shot-to-shot stability aren’t an issue. The whole “big brass complex group head” argument is covered. On top of that I’ve got adjustable brew temperature, adjustable OPV, programmable pre-infusion that ramps to about 2 bar before full pressure, an automatic shot timer, and manual control when I want it. That’s real extraction control not just shiny stainless panels. What really makes it practical for my house though is the automatic milk steaming. It has a built-in temp probe in the steam wand, adjustable steam temperature, and auto texturing. I can dial my milk temp exactly where I want it or just let it steam hands-free. A lot of $2K E61 dual boilers don’t even offer that without mods. For us, that matters way more than aesthetics. The DC63 conical is consistent, gives me great body, and works perfectly for the milk drinks we also enjoy. Once you have stable temperature, pressure control, pre-infusion, and dual boilers, the grinder becomes the bigger lever anyway and I’m not limited in the cup. And honestly, the biggest factor is real life. My wife loves drinking espresso. She does not love managing espresso. She wants to press a button, steam milk, and drink coffee. This setup lets me nerd out when I feel like it, but it’s simple enough that she can use it without learning café workflows. That matters more than flexing hardware online. Would a $2K machine look cooler? Sure. Be heavier? Definitely. Impress Reddit? Probably. But would it meaningfully improve what’s in my cup at home? Not in a way that justifies the jump. End game isn’t about price. It’s about capability, consistency, and fitting your life. Dual boilers, brass thermal mass, pressure control, pre-infusion, automatic milk steaming, and a strong grinder. I’m already there.
