I'm using h10+ since Feb and really enjoying it. It has a lot of customization options and looks decent. I don't know about the longevity but its offering a lot of features for its price
Why not Hibrew H10+? Its fairly capable machine for beginner home consumption
You get pid, pre infusion, temp control and more features for 10-15k less. 1 year warranty. GCP's worth is pretty much with the mods which cost close to 3x of H10+. It is a better machine for a beginner home barista on budget by a huge margin.
HiBrew H10A or h10+ based on your budget. The machine does it's job, has PID and temp control. I got one in Feb and really enjoying. If you're buying H10A, would recommend you to get a grinder too with the remaining budget. Pre ground vs fresh grind makes a lot of difference
Gaggia is a great option if you don’t mind tinkering. But considering a lot of the gaggiunio mods might be hard to get your hands on in India, the hibrew h10+ might be a good plug and play machine.
Hibrew h10 plus, if Gaggia classic pro than mod it which may turn out more costly. PID is absolute necessary to control the temperature of brew. Also do not forget to pair with a great grinder, else its a waste.
I have the H10plus which is an upgrade to this with more features. Great machine. Only qualms is that milk steaming is SLOW. Will take about a min and half for a latte. If thats not a deal breaker then go for it.
I would go to h10 plus and grinder. I have the h10 plus + G5 and Breville barista express impress. My shots on h10 plus + G5 are more consistent.
The hibrew any day
Hibrew is also good. get the combo for 80k and accesories of another 20, you will be sorted for 5 years.
I’ve never heard of this but then again I don’t research machines I can’t afford so my $140 HiBREW is ready after 15s of turning it on 🤷♂️
I believe that you can get pass the startup heating by just letting through some hot water for a few seconds, at least that's what I do when I first turn it on, so that everything is heated as evenly as possible.
Yeah I fully agree and wish people factored this into buying products across the board not just espresso machines. Unfortunately society has become obsessed with consumer culture and it leaks into every thing/hobby including espresso. But I do agree that buying something like a GCP and modding it, while more time intensive and more expensive, is much better than buying a HiBrew etc as a Gaggia is super repairable and can last decades because of that.
The chinese HiBrew and Casabrews are decent, DeLonghi Dedica or Stilosa are also good options, Bambino probably falls in that bracket as well. Depends what features you want from a machine
