If you go with a Jura, make sure you do a bit of research before buying. As an espresso/black coffee drinker, I love my ENA 4, but it only doses 10g of coffee at maximum strength, which is a fair bit less than your traditional espresso (and definitely not enough for the long/coffee option). I pull a double shot and make my own Americanos to get the best tasting drink.

Jura ENA 4 is as simple as it gets. I’ve given 3 of these to family members with no complaints.

Currently staying at an AirBNB in Tahoe with a Jura ena4 and it has been fantastic....and that's how i'm looking at the /r/superautomatic subreddit.

For fully automatic, Jura ENA 4 (it will be above your budget). For semi-automatic, Breville (or Sage in Europe) Bambino - just ignore the fact that it has a steam wand. Pair it with Baratza ESP or DF54 grinder. If that busts your budget, get a Kingrinder K6 hand grinder. For fully manual, one of the Flair machines or Cafelat Robot.

We had two Gaggia Breras in a row that had internal leaks, parts popping off, etc. and I decided I wanted the reliability of a Jura. Went with the ENA 4 for its simplicity. It has been great.

I’m on my second jura - ena 4. Freaking love it (very similar to the A1 we had). Quiet enough for me but not sure how quiet you’re trying to get. Also would rec checking out videos from Seattle coffee company on YouTube, they walk through brewing too

I have jura ena 4 and its been loyal for 4 years now, couldn't be happier with the coffee quality, but im just a casual when it comes to coffee.
