ENA 4

If you go with a Jura, make sure you do a bit of research before buying. As an espresso/black coffee drinker, I love my ENA 4, but it only doses 10g of coffee at maximum strength, which is a fair bit less than your traditional espresso (and definitely not enough for the long/coffee option). I pull a double shot and make my own Americanos to get the best tasting drink.

For fully automatic, Jura ENA 4 (it will be above your budget). For semi-automatic, Breville (or Sage in Europe) Bambino - just ignore the fact that it has a steam wand. Pair it with Baratza ESP or DF54 grinder. If that busts your budget, get a Kingrinder K6 hand grinder. For fully manual, one of the Flair machines or Cafelat Robot.

I have jura ena 4 and its been loyal for 4 years now, couldn't be happier with the coffee quality, but im just a casual when it comes to coffee.

Jura ENA4 as a present from my job. I use it daily and my Nespresso has sit idle since.

If you're mostly a black coffee - Americano lover with the occasional milk drink then get a Jura Ena or Jura E4. I have similar coffee drinking habits as you and I went with the Jura E4. Its a coffee only machine, but the quality is great and it was reasonable. I think $1400. Also I decided on a coffee only super automatic because the long term maitenance will most likely be less than a machine that will do milk drinks. Get a seperate milk frother like I did and you will be happy. Oh and I make my own batch of cold brew coffee once per week separately to keep in the fridge 😉 It works out great. Good luck.
