Based on 1 year's data from Mar 20, 2026 How it works
funny about bed bath and beyond I bought my nespresso there many years ago then the philips 3200 then the 4400 the the saeco xelsis now my Delonghi eletta explore.....Hope you find one that suits you
Hi I have the same machine. It's one of the best out there keep my grind setting at 4. I use 2% milk for the best froth for milk based drinks. Grinds are not all over as people suggested. Cleaning the brew group once a month submerged in water for 5 minutes. water filter is a choice. I use refrigerator water which has a filter plus I have no hard water. Lavazza supercrema beans I find the best for grind setting "4" for all coffees drinks but thats my taste. If you like very hot cappuccinos try the flat white to me provides hotter froth also on a regular cup of joe .You can use the hot milk setting just make sure you there to stop it.....lol. I have had philips latte go ,saco xelsis and( jura10 returned after a week). Youtube also has lots of videos too..... ....................
We got the Philips 4400. Pretty happy with it overall.
ppl gonna hate on my post but I love my Phillips superautomatic machine. I have the Costco cheapo model and it serves me well. Imo, better coffee than my Brera and other sub 1000 models i have owned. But all i drink is straight up expresso and don't really bother with the milk stuff. Phillips machines are below your budget level.
Mine does have the steam wand but i never use it... Some fancier Phillips models do have better milk features and are still within your budget. I just don't like all the mess. When i do milk, i will nuke it and just use a simple milk frother (see Bonsenkitchen Powerful Milk Frother on amazon)...easier cleanup. I am not a Phillips ambassador. Just happy with the quality and value.
As others have said, Bean to Cup machine pretty much always come with a milk frother of somesort too, as it doesn't cost that much to add but makes the machines significantly more appealing. I have a Phillips which I've found is very good, although only had it 6 months so can't comment on longevity. Its got lots of settings for grind fineness and some for how long the shots are etc, and does Americano with a decent sized water tank too. It has a separate latte part where you store the milk which is detachable so if you never make milk based drinks you can just leave it off tbh.
Phillips latte go are pieces of garbage and there customer service is terrible! First 3 months leaking water twice sent in for warranty service weak espresso shots. I finally returned it and got an Italian semi auto machine. Lelit Kate I love it
I have a Phillips LatteGo and I love it. Cleaning milk is a thing of the past. No milk tubes.
I have a Phillips LatteGo, and I love it. It's def not like pulling your own espresso, but still a cup or coffee, espresso or milk drinks. And no milk tubes to clean.
Short answer: Quality. Long answer: You need to try it out yourself. I went to my local Williams Sonoma and tried out the Philips Lattego, Delonghi Dinamica plus and Jura Z10. And also the Breville impress touch semiauto. I was pretty sure I would get the Delonghi. But after we tried the Jura, it really was no match. The Breville Semiauto and Jura Z10 were the same quality, others just tasted vastly inferior. So I’d recommend calling a local williams Sonoma, asking if they do demos and if they have the 3-4 machines you’re interested in trying and try them out.
I just bought a Jura Z10, love it by the way, but it requires daily and weekly and regular maintenance. I previously owned a Phillips Latte Go. Easier to use and you can probably more easily spell out directions for use, and only clean it every week (if you trust guests to empty the grounds regularly.
I'd look at the Philips lattego models. Unless you want a steam wand? A superauto is great for getting coffee into you before you're awake enough to make coffee. Workflow is basically a few button presses.
I have a philips with the Lattego system and it's awesome. 2 parts, no tubes, steams/froths the milk no problem. Super easy to clean.
