The Lita BR is a completely different class of machine. If you don’t trust the brand then don’t get it but from an objective perspective it’s more of a competitor to Bianca/Synchronika (and honestly better in many ways).
I know you asked about two specific machines but I would also look at the Wendougee Lita. Espresso outlet just received a shipment which is mostly sold out but there are a few left. 1) it has a small footprint and is right within your budget. 2) the build quality is excellent. I have the Data S which is much more expensive and I watched a video of the internals of the Lita and it looks to have the exact same build quality with the same materials. 3) the profiling capabilities and ability to pick up profiles from other people with these machines is amazing if you want to experiment with different beans and flavors. 4) It uses dual boilers so the steam pressure should be pretty good.
There are machines that can do that. My one, for example. Or machines with 2 thermocoils and 2 pumps like the Wendougee Lita.
The Lita is on another level in terms of what it's capable of. The build on their machines appears to be very good, and pretty thoughtfully designed too. They're just a new name in the west and don't have that same level of trust and confidence behind the brand in western markets. I do feel like they're a serious brand though, and if they continue on their current course and get better known I can see them causing trouble for established brands. Service and support would be my number one concern. If you have a reputable dealer and service centre available to you in your country, I'd probably go with the Lita. Well, definitely over the Go, like I said it's a different class of machine. I'd probably take the Lita over something like a Lelit Bianca, again, provided I had a good authorised dealer and service centre in my country. If we're talking about dealing with Wendougee directly, that's a bit of an unknown as far as long term aftersale support goes, and that concerns me.
There are a ton of them, but very few are imported to the oversea market. WPM and Milesto have tons of cheap but powerful dual boiler/rotary pump machines. Wengougee is another trusted brand that's just testing the overseas market. Gemilai has been around for a while, at least with their rebranded ones like Turin Legato/Mii Coffee. Milesto is my personal favorite but unfortunately they are just not exporting at the moment. You can get a dual boiler/rotary pump machine for around ¥6000 (~ 850 USD) in China.
