For something within the scope of your budget -- Simgot EM6L or Kefine Delci AE. If you are going to marry him in the future then get the Kiwi Ears Astral. According to reviews and this subReddit Top 5 Best for Gaming it is the best for gaming overall. For better audio pick up and less axis noise, get him an external mic (Hyper X Solo-Cast) that'll be plugged into his PC. Also a DAC too like the TRN Black Pearl among others to clean up audio signal from PC.
i love my hyper x solocast
Eu uso um hyperx , solo cast n tenho do que reclamar
Eu nem uso software kkk so pluguei e uso a anos
I actually don’t like the blue yeti. I’ve been using the HyperX Solocast (runs about $60 cad) and the quality is fantastic for that price range. It’s pretty small, I used it to stream from my bedroom floor when I first moved in before I made a real setup. Now it’s on a boom arm and it’s even better! You will need to speak into it, it doesn’t take in sound from all angles, but it also means it doesn’t pick up a ton of background noise.
Honestly, just don't just a headphone mic and you should be right! I've been using a hyperX soloCast, and HyperX QuadCast for a couple of years. And friends have been using an old Blue Yeti microphone. And they still sound like they are using high end $250+ microphone. I've even seen streamers use an old Xbox-360 Rock Band Microphone, and it still sounded like a high quality microphone. Sure you shouldn't go bottom of the barrel quality, but sub $100 microphones, can still be good. As long as you take the time to set it up on your computer. Proper gain levels. And setting it so it compliments the frequency of your voice, while tuning out the rest. Position of your microphone also helps, put it close to your mouth. This helps improve the balance, but also makes it so can can just speak in your normal speaking voice, without having to turn up any audio levels. also slightly improving quality.
Hi everyone! My channel is called Hoek Everything, and I make a variety of different content on it. I do mostly reviews, comedic history videos, and some other random topics like talking about the different Sodas in Mexico, or how to make every pie in Breath of the Wild! I have reviewed everything from Movies, Games, TV Shows, Music to Concerts and Lantern Festivals For physical equipment I used a Macbook for editing, and used a microphone that came with a pair of headphones I had, though I quickly changed that and started using a Hyperx Solocast Microphone. I also started off with using IMovie for editing, but then moved to Davinci Resolve. My little search is suggesting Razer seiren v3 mini gives the best audio with background supression. Akg gives the more crip and clear audio but it is sensitive to sounds. It will pickup everything. Hyperx Solocast is the weakest in terms of sound quality from these three and gives some degree of sound supression not that good. Solocast II is much better in that regard but even then the value for money option is Razer.
You’ve got a couple of good budget options for that kind of sound. The scratchy pen noises are really subtle and high-frequency, so you’ll want either a sensitive small diaphragm condenser *or* a contact mic that can grab surface vibrations directly. A couple of cheap picks that would work well: Zoom H5/H6 with XY capsule – not the cheapest but very flexible, and you can get it right up close to the tablet. [https://zoomcorp.com/en/us/handheld-recorders](https://zoomcorp.com/en/us/handheld-recorders) HyperX SoloCast or Blue Spark Digital (USB condensers, \~$50–60) – surprisingly sensitive for the price. Contact mics / piezo pickups (you can find them on Etsy for $15–25) – you literally stick them on the back/edge of your tablet, and they’ll pick up the little vibrations directly. That can sound really cool if you’re after the “scratch” detail more than the room sound.
