Lewitt - PURE TUBE

Yeah, wow. Definitely a better mic locker than 99 percent of people. It feels so weird recommending you a mic, but if you are absolutely dying to spend the cash, a Lewitt Pure Tube is a great, modern sounding, tube LDC. Next to zero noise, and not even so much as a capacitor in the audio path, making for a very flat, open sounding vocal mic.

That's the 1040, and that thing can do everything. The [PURE TUBE](https://www.lewitt-audio.com/microphones/lct-recording/pure-tube) is more specialized: Cardioid only and designed primarily for vocals. There's nothing that your current locker can't do, but if you HAD to find a gap, I think this could work nicely.

I have their Pure Tube, and it’s fantastic. The 1040 is basically the pure tube + fully adjustable polar pattern and blend of tube/fet, and 4 different tube options. Huge Lewitt fan, they aren’t afraid to try new things in mic design, and always with the goal of solving real world issues

please for the love of god, just get the lewitt. do not listen to the people saying samson shure etc. look into the lewitt mics, their $100 entry mic is miles above the price. the best studio LDC mic for that low of a cost by far

no problem. they've become a prominent brand amongst engineers for their price - quality ratio. look into produce like a pro if you want an entry into the brief history of their mics. long story short, when AKG was bought out of their company some of the employees left & started their own brands of mics. (lewitt & austrian audio) lewitt has some great people behind their products.
