Love it I use it for all sorts of stuff vocals snare room mic acoustic set ups it’s a great mic for the price I wish I got one that was a ribbon tho.
If you’ve already got an interface pick up an inexpensive condenser mic like [this](https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MXL770--mxl-770-large-diaphragm-condenser-microphone). They’re going to be more sensitive than a dynamic mic and a bit less directional so you can just set it in front of you and it should capture your voice and your guitar. I use something similar when I teach online lessons and it works great. If you’ve got an acoustic electric you can also use the sm57 for your voice and plug the guitar in direct, even though it won’t sound as good as miking it.
For $120 you could pick up an actual condenser microphone (like an MXL 770, 990, etc. Check amazon or check ebay for a used one) and an XLR USB interface. This has always been my preference and I think they should a lot better than the Snowballs/Yetis.
Im a bit biased towards XLR mics. I nabbed my MXL 770 off ebay for 50$ back in 2017. I still use that mic. It does need phantom power and it really does well with an interface like a scarlett or rodecaster. Bit overkill when starting out but im really getting my 50$ worth haha!
Mxl 770 is my fave condenser under $100
SM58's are about $105 on Amazon if you want a straight replacement for something that's been great on stage forever. If you decide to upgrade, recommend one of the new Shure Nexadyne 8 mics: the 8/c for clean and bright, or the 8/s for upfront vocals - they're both US$329 and have the new dual-transducer tech. lf you're looking for a solid studio condenser recording mic to start with, something like the MXL 770 is hard to beat. Amazon currently has a package for it that includes a mic stand, pop filter, and cable for around $100. I've been recording vocalists in my home studio for years with one and it's great.
MyDream Mic is the Neumann $4000 but even the MXL condenser I have had for like 10 years works well.
Those are great for shows/touring. But for vocals, you definitely want a condenser. I used the MXL for years, and then I got a VERY good deal on Amazon on a Neumann.
I recommend a cheap condenser (I have an MXL) because it really makes a lot of difference, and the quality of the signal that you have to work downstream begins with a) a good treated recording space and b) a decent microphone.
