I have the Rode Wireless Pro and the Rode Interview Pro and pair it with the Wireless Pro RX into my phone. We use our Phones as cameras with the Blackmagic Camera app. It automatically uploads to my DaVinci Resolve cloud storage. I love the convenience and functionality and the functionality of the Wireless pro, but I am not a fan of the sound quality of the included lav mics. That’s why I got the Interview Pro. I’m considering the Sanken cos11d lavs to replace them.
There is the Rode Interview Pro. It does a great job recording voice and has an internal shock mount.
Get a wireless microphone system with a 3.5mm plug, something like the Rode Wireless ME. Plug it into the mic input on the laptop. It runs on 2.4 MHz, not Bluetooth. Interference could be a factor but at the ranges involved in presentations, I have never had a problem with my Rode wireless mics.
Have used sennhisers and rode. But I learned my lesson. I go xlr into a Scarlett and to my mac. Gave up on wireless.
Here is what I use: [rode wireless:](https://s.shopee.ph/AUmboASlu5) i use this when i do live selling with my cats and cat stuff, ok naman siya, i connect it to my g100 camera, may mic siya kaya kaya naman, ok yn audio nya and ive tried at least 10 meters away doing the video and the mic is very good, may kasamang wind protector din, battery is good, matagal din siya, ngayon cons, mahal, talagang mahal pero maganda kasi dito maliit lang siya and no wire, pero again mahal talaga siya. it can handle yn wind at medium setting nilalagay ko, so di nya nakukuha yn wind and sa capcut i dont need anymore to remove yn external noise dun. but it is expensive tallaga. affiliate link posted. https://preview.redd.it/wgsoy4ravi4g1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fae67ce65126d3cdc72be24997967374778cc468
Save up and get either the Rode wireless or a DJI wireless... Great quality, and guaranteed results.
I have the new DJI mics and I don't like their sharpness for lack of a technical term. I still use my old Rode wireless over them. They sound great!
Too much, honestly, and I don't even do cameras anymore (too much extra setup work, it was stopping me from getting stuff done). But I'm a complete audio snob so that's where I spend my money and my time. I have: - Shure SM7b for live work when needed. Honestly my least used mic at this point but it's essential when I do need it. - Neumann TLM103 for VO. I bought and used it to do some gig work a few years back, paid for itself in about 6 months which is nice. - Rode Wireless ME for portable work - mostly verbal notes to myself since the resulting quality isn't great - Neumann KH 120 II studio monitors for mixing/mastering - Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pros for testing audio with headphones - Sennheiser HD 280 Pro for live monitoring with my condenser mic (too much bleed from the 1990 Pros as they're open back). I don't really like these due to the cable noise and high clamping force, and I'm considering replacing them with the Shure SRH1540's) - SSL2+ MKII USB audio interface - Mackie DLZ Creator mixer - originally intended to be my "all in one" device but later found there's too much digital artifacting in the mic signal, so now it works as a completely overkill summing device for my speakers between my PC, mic interface, turntable, work laptop, personal laptop, etc. When it dies I'll probably replace it with a cheap Yamaha MG10XU or similar. - Cloudlifer CL-1 for my SM7b, though I don't need it anymore with the SSL interface - Mic stands include an Elgato Wave LP mic arm for my SM7b, and my TLM 103 is on what's technically my old camera tripod, a Neewer N284L+G0 - CAD Acousti-Shield AS32 for the TLM103 - Wacom Cintiq 16 on a mic arm acts as a teleprompter from my PC, and of course doubles as a drawing tablet and touch up tool for any art/thumbnails. - Elgato Stream Deck and Stream Deck Plus - Elgato 4K S portable capture card - Avermedia GC573 Live Gamer 4K PCIe capture card - Datacolor Spyder X Pro for monitor calibration - I technically still have my camera, a Fujifilm X-T3 and 18-135mm lens, along with some random key lights of various brands and qualities. Funny enough I use one of them for meetings at work because my overhead lights cast a gnarly shadow over my face otherwise. I think that's it, save for my PC and laptop which obviously aren't dedicated to youtube.
Rode makes a charging case too. The only real advantage that I see is that, if you're just going to clip the mic transmitter where its going to be visible (which looks terrible and you should be using a proper lav mic) its that the DJI transmitter has a green LED, and the Rode transmitter has a blue LED. And a green LED is far more pleasant to look at. That's about it.
Right. But Rode exclusively makes microphones and other audio equipment.
Blue yeti or the Rode wireless have done me well for years depending on whether I’m at a desk or on location interviewing. The trick is always knowing how to use them well.
Rode Wireless go with Sennheiser ME2
