I'd recommend a wireless mic that connects to your phone such as Rode Micro.  I have heaps of studio mics but when I'm shooting outside on my phone, I just use Descript Studio Sound to master the audio.

I love Rode. But Wireless Pro is their most expensive. Wireless Micro or Wireless Go would suit you fine.

If you can up the budget a bit the Rode WIreless Micro is incredible ($149). The receiver plugs into your phone, and there are two very small wireless transmittters (mics) about the size of your thumb. Sound is great, noise isolation is good. You can split the channels or combine them. ANd it gives you some room to grow bringing on another speaker. The downside is you need a phone (or computer) to record it ... many wireless products (not all) will have onboard recording where all you need is the mic itself.

Rode Micro Wireless. $129. Records into your phone on their free app (or any other). then send it to your PC for editing with Audacity (free). Keep oin mind there are other costs like hosting the audio (could be free or very cheap), marketing the podcast, etc.

Depends... Rode Broadcaster in studio (into RCP and MacBook with Hindenburg) Shure SM48 in field if more than 2 mics needed (into Podtrak P4) Rode Micro in field with 2 or fewer mics needed into iPhone (short distances) Rode Wireless Pro with 2 or fewer mics needed into iPhone or MacBook (longer distances)

the standard rode mic is clunky, but they have a compact version specifically for phones and I’ve used it plenty [Rode Wireless Micro (affiliate link, Rode direct)](https://brandstore.rode.com/products/wireless-micro?sca_ref=5977121.DfSOEmGxRr&sca_source=reddit) [non affiliate link, if needed (3rd party retailer)](https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1849609-REG/rode_wimicroc_wireless_micro_2_person_ultracompact.html/) Rode sent me this one for free. Out of the mics I’ve been given from different brands, this has been the most practical and best overall for phone-only content. I’ve also tried their more expensive Wireless Pro lav, and I didn’t notice any real difference in audio quality.

r/Insta360Insta360 Go Ultra not compatible with Insta360 Mic Air? Seriously?

The best way to get high quality wireless (or wired) audio into the Ultra system is via the USB-C socket on the pod. Yes, you then have to have the camera in the pod, but if you want the best audio that's what you have to do. Examples that should work are the Rode Wireless Micro or the Hollyland Lark A1, both of which come with a very small receiver which connects to phones, or to suitable cameras. And there are probably about 100 similar systems out there, but those are two which I use (not with the Ultra which I don't have, but with cameras from another company). The advantage of going that route is that the audio link to the camera is much higher grade than bluetooth, and the range is far longer. Also, you can use wired USB mics, and as the Ultra is supposed to support stereo, a stereo mic should work well. Actually you should be able to use wireless mics connected via USB in stereo too - both the models I mentioned give fantastic immersive audio when clipped either side of a baseball cap, to match the fantastic immersive video from the camera!

Rode Wireless Micro kit (which can be connected to an audio recorder 3.5mm input now that they offer a free receiver for that purpose - or to a phone via USB-Co or lightning), or Hollyland Lark A1, for connection to phone or any other device which accepts USB audio input. You clip the tiny mics either side of your baseball cap or similar - even inside it with the slim A1 mics - set to stereo, and you get good results from a rig nobody is likely to notice, with no wires. But - if there's any significant wind, you have to fit the fluffy muffs, which do make it a bit more obvious.

r/audioengineeringWhat type of mic should I use to record a concert?

Left field suggestions - Zoom M2 - handles 135dB SPL into an F series preamp and dual AD converters. Just press record. Nothing else to do, no wires, but not discreet if you are not supposed to be recording. And often available at much reduced price. Or a Rode Wireless Micro kit set to stereo with the mics attached either side of your baseball cap for a more low-profile system, recording wirelessly into your phone. Or the Hollyland Lark A1 which can be used the same way, and which is really about the same quality for a much lower price.

Used Rode rx/tx but this was only one channel. I then moved to DJI2 - love the functionality and the sound was clean. However, plugging a lav into the transmitter did not work well. There was frequently a pop like the jack was loosing connection. Hooking the cable under the clip and even putting in a broadcast loop did not solve the problem. Nothing did. I have now moved to the DJI mini. The magnet is small and you can turn the TX inside the shirt if you really want to hide it. Sound is not as dynamic as the DJI2 but I adjust it in post. I do ENG for broadcast and the small size and portability works great for me.

I personally think it can take a bit of tuning for your voice as well.. any time I used a blue yeti (I had a pro for years back in 2015-2016) and it didn't take to my tone well and would cause peaking and such with any setting, I ended up with a ShureSM58S but make sure not to get a fake one. Go to a legit seller as there are many out there selling copycats. I run it via XLR into a Fifine SC3 Mixer I have a 2 pc setup and also run a Hollyland Wireless mic or Rode Wireless mic kit when I am doing hand reveal streams. I also run my mics through a splitter and combiner. There are a lot of things you can do with audio once you get there but Generally Check your space, check local audio places to see if you can test a mic or even rent one, then invest in the one you find works best for you. Good luck!

Get a wireless microphone system with a 3.5mm plug, something like the Rode Wireless ME. Plug it into the mic input on the laptop. It runs on 2.4 MHz, not Bluetooth. Interference could be a factor but at the ranges involved in presentations, I have never had a problem with my Rode wireless mics.

Here is what I use: [rode wireless:](https://s.shopee.ph/AUmboASlu5) i use this when i do live selling with my cats and cat stuff, ok naman siya, i connect it to my g100 camera, may mic siya kaya kaya naman, ok yn audio nya and ive tried at least 10 meters away doing the video and the mic is very good, may kasamang wind protector din, battery is good, matagal din siya, ngayon cons, mahal, talagang mahal pero maganda kasi dito maliit lang siya and no wire, pero again mahal talaga siya. it can handle yn wind at medium setting nilalagay ko, so di nya nakukuha yn wind and sa capcut i dont need anymore to remove yn external noise dun. but it is expensive tallaga. affiliate link posted. https://preview.redd.it/wgsoy4ravi4g1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fae67ce65126d3cdc72be24997967374778cc468
