AdaptiveRelief 1.0Those cheap microphones aren't too terrible but aren't really suited for a quiet podcast setting. They're more forgiving recording a loud vocal that can help drown out unwanted mic noises. So my suggestion would be to grab a used ****"Samson G-Track"**** microphone for a few reasons. First, it's a very decent microphone and used prices are really good (at least here in the UK). Secondly, it has an audio interface built in - as well as an input for guitars/instruments - so it's plug and play with no further equipment needed!
rustyfloorpan 1.0Samson G Track Pro and real headphones plug right into it. Works great with zoom and needs nothing special in line. Under a hundred bucks and you can just move on.
xXxxGxxXx 1.0Samson Q2U XLR/USB Dynamic mic for $70 or Samson Q9U XLR/USB Dynamic for $150 or G-Track Pro USB Condenser for $100. If you want to avoid or limit room noise go for Dynamic, if you have a good soundproofed room the go for the Condenser btw the Shure SM-7B is Dynamic, basically a SM- 58 ($100) with a different body that has some inner shock absorption, both are XLR non USB so require an audio interface $$$
