Sennheiser me66 and k6 module as rifle Mike and I use a tascam handheld. You can hear a mouse fart it that good.
I own a tascam DR22wl it’s a sound recorder about the same volume as an iPhone, deeper but not as wide. Plugging a pair of headphones into this and walking in woodland isfantastic as the range on the built in mikes picks up ten times more bird song. The sennheiser mk66 is also exceptionally sensistive but focused mainly in one direction ( like a rifle 😄). it needs isolating - I have a rifle m8,e holder that suspends it with silicone bands as the slightest touch sounds like you dropped a metal bin and it.has a faux fur wind protector(Theres a nickname for this that I can remember ) so stop wind blow . This chap will show you what it’s like put a pair of headphones on. I also imagine that your own ears wouldn’t hear half of what this video is playing. As the difference between normal ears and listening through the recorder is like binoculars for your ears. Search for sennheiser mk66 bushcraft on any common video playing website.

Senheisser ME66/K6 if you can find one.
Ah, I didn't catch that. You know, there isn't that much in that price segment that have their own powerdelivery. Most in that price segment reley on independent recorders (with phantom power), or audio-interfaces in a handle like the Sony FX3 and FX30's and some Panasonic's got. Not to mention other professional camera's. In a lower price segment there's the Røde Videomic NTG and most other VideoMic's from that brand, Sennheiser MKE 600, the ME66, Røde NTG2. There are good suggestions in r/LocationSound In general I don't like selfpowered microphones, specifically because their power indicators are way to sloppy. I need to know how many minutes I've got, not green, orage, red. Also: some have internal powerpacks, that can only be charged via USB and that's just a no go scenario, I need to be able to pop in fresh/ new batteries. Edit: added an opinion on self powered microphones.
I run dual K6 on a zoom F3. or my Rode NTG5. the Ntg5 has become a favorite mic. it is superb.
I use a Sennheiser shotgun mic overhead. Yeah, it picks up some external noise, but it's really minimal and nobody cares.
