I like the profile wireless 2, it’s small, compact and from a trusted brand. Sounds great with a dedicated lav too, DJI is okay but doesn’t sound as nice to me personally

Ok I’ll give you the Sennheiser Profile. Though to be fair, it didn’t have 32bit float when they launched it back in 2024 and they only added it this past spring (so in my head I wrote it off as not worth my time and moved on). Otherwise I couldn’t find any other Hollyland mics (besides the Lark MAX 2 which I did review in the video) that use 32bit float. And not sure “and others”. Don’t want to waste your time making you look up or type long comments but I do genuinely appreciate the feedback cause this is a pretty niche thing I’ve been obsessed with for the past year.

r/djiDJI's removal of the 3.5mm Mic jack on the new Mic 3's is beyond infuriating, considering they jammed it full of "Pro" level features like Timecode, Quadrophonic Recording, x4 Transmitters, and x7 Recivers.

Guy, not a lot of people know about this alternative, the Sennheiser profile wireless. Sennheiser were great at engineering this but soo bad at promoting it! Have this and the Dji mini and this outperforms it easily and the sound it's VERY different, much clearer, and has their patented 3.5 locking jack in. And is the same price, 300. I literally posted this as I opened a browser to order the 3rd version from Dji just to discover they Appled the thing, no more jack :-( https://preview.redd.it/94eeq6f6m2rf1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d163889bbb5844b62107eca661e8635853016eff

Check out the sennheiser profile wireless, it works with phones, computers, and professional cameras and mixers. Can be two lavs, record 32 bit internal, and the charging case doubles as a handle/desk mic set up. At only $230 it’s by far the most versatile and best quality option for someone starting out in your situation

The sennheiser profile wireless is by far the best choice for you! It’s more professional build than all these other ones, better audio quality, and the charging case transforms into a stick mic! Perfect for a reporter

I’d say the sennheiser profile wireless is the closest to what you’re looking for, and it’s one of my favorite pieces of audio kit I’ve bought

I used to rock a RØDE NT-USB Mini, but it picked up waytoo much background noise in my room - every keyboard tap sounded like a drum lol. I switched to the Sennheiser and it’s been such a chill upgrade. For your budget, I’d say the Profile is a really solid pick.

For 200$ you could do well with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo and a AT2020. Which would sit right around 200$ and give you good audio. You might also want to start with the AT2020 USB. This requires no dedicated Audio interface and leaves you with enough budget for a mic arm, pop filter and what else you might need. I personally have the Sennheiser Profile, and in the Stream Kit it includes pretty much everything you need. It might not have it's dedicated software but it really is as plug and play as it gets. However, keep in mind that condenser mics pick up a whole lot of noise, so you need to work with noise reduction, both in your room and in software. I am always happy to answer more questions you might have.
