I use the amazfit active 2, it’s about £€$99. But the bip 6 is even cheaper while still doing most of the same stuff, longer battery life, but a bit bigger (too big for me). (I had the amazfit band 5 for like 5 years before that too). It does have a high heart rate alert, but only if you’re inactive (ie sitting down) for 10 minutes and the heart rate stays high, and the lowest you can set it is 100bpm. I don’t think that’s uncommon in smart watches though? But if you’re walking around, or showering or something and want a heart rate alert the base settings unfortunately won’t do that*. My pacing has been alright, and I’ve gotten better at it with time and definitely appreciate my watch. It’s been good to be able to see and adjust what I’m doing based on heart rate or steps or whatever. And it keeps track of my sleep somewhat decently for me too. *There is a guide somewhere on here about heart rate pacing. And they mention using the garmin or Fitbit maybe on yoga mode. You can do the same on the amazfit - run an activity all day and it’ll alert you if your heart rate goes over a threshold. I use the checkers / chess etc modes on the amazfit because they are the only activities that still measure their ‘stress’ stat. I set each activity to a different heart rate alert - so checkers alerts me over 105, bridge over 112, chess over 120 iirc. That way if I want a low threshold for everyday I use checkers. And if I have eg a drs appt, know my heart rate will go higher and a 105 alert would be too often, but still want some alerts I might chose chess. I haven’t used them in a while, but they’re helpful when I need them. I have had a few issues with it, but I feel like I’ve heard people complain about their other options a similar amount.

I came to recommend an Amazfit 5 (I don't know what a Bip is). That is the watch I am currently wearing right now and have had for years. It is priced at half your budget and given that your previous watch was an Amazfit 5, you're already familiar with its interface. Are you sour on them because of a warranty process (by the way, *what* warranty? As a fellow owner, I would love to know. I thought this watch was so cheap it was unsupported after purchase.), or would you give them another chance? It's a solid watch, ocean-worthiness notwithstanding.
