I love my Amazfit bio pro 3. It does everything I need it to do.

I have recently bought the trex 3 and it had 17 updates to down load and I have to say it has exceeded my expectations, swimming is perfect for pool laps front crawl and breast stroke are accurate I've not tried open water swimming yet  In the gym it's brilliant and you can adjust the weight and reps on the go and it's good at rep count and very accurate and even tells you what muscles you use not always 100 percent accurate in determining what muscles but I'd say 80 percent and it's a cool feature, Sleep for me is also very accurate  Steps is also very accurate and no ghost steps  I've not tried running or hiking yet so I won't comment  I don't get people saying sleep or fitness tracker not good or accurate, I'm doing fitness all my life not a professional but certainly a person who constantly trains and I just can't fault the watch so far  If anyone is reading this and thinking of getting one I bet you will not be disappointed A couple of years ago I went for a 5km walk with a friend who was wearing a Garmin forerunner 265, at the time I was wearing a bip 3 and the step count was of my 27 steps just saying

The GPS on this watch seems to be off compared to my Garmin Fenix 8 and Garmin Forerunner 955. I've had multiple people wear it who have came to the same conclusion as well. Not a huge huge deal if your just running to run but the amazfit 3 is about .08 miles short on every mile compared to both my garmins and compared to 3 other people's Garmin Forerunner 965's. That's almost a half a mile on a 5 mile run. This is running in multiple areas as well. Also for reference it's about .04 miles shorter on a run compared to my Google Pixel watch which is pretty comparable in price. Other than it registering the miles short, the V02 and the HR monitor seems to be pretty accurate when I run at slower paced but I did find when it got below 30° out that he Amazfits HR would spike and say my HR was at 195 when I know for a fact it was way lower based on my Polar HR monitor I was wearing which had my HR at around 148. I'm assuming it was picking up cadence rather than HR. The only way I could get it to go down was stop and wait for 5 minutes but it would do it multiple times during my run. I like the idea of the amazfit and the price point but if you want accurate real data and you rely on this type of stuff for training, stick to a newer Garmin watch

I had the T-Rex 1 and 2. Both died at close to the 2 year mark due to battery no longer holding a charge. I have the bip now and have no regrets. it even has more features than the T-Rex 1 and 2 (not sure about the 3).

Could be fake reviews. Amazfit (by Xiaomi) are legit and very cheap as well.

r/smartwatch • What's up with the $30-$50 smart watches on Amazon? ->
