Just got a watch pro 2 and It is NOT the watch for tracking. When I start a workout, it seems to track steps alright but while not working out, it barely tracks ANY of my steps around the house. Literally off by 1000-2000+ in the evening. I also have a Fitbit Charge 6 and that is much more accurate when it comes to just about everything. Decent battery life too.
r/CMFTech • Should I buy the CMF Watch Pro 2? ->So, I just got the CMF Watch Pro 2 today, and here are my initial thoughts. For a bit of context, I’ve been using an iPhone XR as my daily driver and had been rocking the Honor Band 4 for the past 4-5 years. I was happy with it, but it was time for an upgrade. I saw the CMF Watch Pro 2 trending everywhere, with people calling it the best budget smartwatch. Sure, I read about some flaws, but I still went for it because, honestly, it’s the best-looking smartwatch in this price range. First Impressions Right out of the box, this watch felt premium. Compared to the plastic frame and silicone band of my Honor Band 4, this one’s a massive step up. It has an aluminum body, and it’s bigger too, which makes it feel like a proper smartwatch. I’ve used Apple Watches and Galaxy Watches before, and this feels almost on par with those in terms of looks and build quality. Setup & Initial Use Setting it up was super easy. You pick your measurement units, configure a few settings, and you’re good to go. The crown button is smooth, and the haptic feedback when scrolling through the menu feels nice. A lot of people mentioned laggy UI in their reviews, but I haven’t experienced any of that so far. The Good Stuff • Calling: This is a big highlight for me. You can save up to 30 contacts on the watch, dial numbers directly, and even answer WhatsApp calls. I tested the mic and speaker, and the quality is pretty solid. My friends said the audio was clear, and the noise reduction seems to work well. • Design: It looks and feels premium—definitely better than what I expected at this price. • Ease of Use: The menu navigation is smooth, and the overall experience feels polished. The Not-Good stuff 1. Connection Issues: The watch disconnects if the app isn’t running in the background. So, you can’t close the app; otherwise, you lose the connection. 2. Haptics: Scrolling feedback is great, but the vibrations for calls and notifications feel cheap—kind of like my old Honor Band 4. 3. No Replies for Notifications: You can’t reply to messages or interact much with notifications, which is a bit disappointing. Overall Thoughts I’ve only used it for a few hours, but so far, I’m liking it. It’s definitely an upgrade from my old fitness band. It looks good, handles calls well, and has decent features for the price. If I had to rate it, I’d give it a solid 7/10. Do I regret buying it? Not at all. I’m excited to see how it holds up over the next couple of weeks. Let’s see how things go!
r/CMFTech • First Impressions: CMF Watch Pro 2 ->Cmf is pretty good as a general smartwatch for the price, but not accurate for fitness tracking. The galaxy fit 3 should track much more consistently.
r/GadgetsIndia • Need help choosing a fitness tracker ->I have both the Balance and the Watch Pro 2. Got the balance recently after being frustrated with the Watch Pro 2 disconnecting constantly on my iPhone 15. Balance is solid in that. Plus, the app sucks and still isn't remotely closely to Zepp app. Balance, while having so many features that I don't use, is future proofed with software updates and constant upgrades to the UX. Very happy with it
r/CMFTech • First Impressions: CMF Watch Pro 2 ->My biggest complaint is the heart rate monitor somehow keeps tracking even if I'm not wearing it. I don't wear it to sleep, but apparently I have a heart rate average of 168 every night. It's on a nightstand so not sure what causes it to continuously track.
r/CMFTech • First Impressions: CMF Watch Pro 2 ->I've been using one for the better part of 2 months now. Same use situation kinda. I use it for time, timers, and sleep tracking. I had a fitbit charge before it that was great until it died. I wasn't going to drop another $100-140 for a watch to last a little over a year again. The watch pro 2 is awesome if you are willing to accept it's compromises. On the latest firmware, it duplicates notifications for me. It can and will disconnect from your phone if you go out of range or close the companion app. It likes for you to leave that in the background and have the connection notification in your notification shade (on Android at least, I am unsure of iPhone behavior). Neither of those are that big of a deal to me. What annoys me is when you set timers; you cannot leave the timer screen. The crown can accidentally stop the timer if it catches on clothes while you're moving around. I wear long sleeve rash guards at work and when it's raining; the wet rash guard sleeves will interact with the touchscreen and stop my timers, because again you can't leave the timer screen. I've already given feedback about how I'd love to have them modify the timer software's behavior. You *should* be able to send it to the background and go to the home screen. But as of right now it isn't designed that way. I've found a few screens where it remains on 24 hr time despite me setting it for 12 hr. Basically, it's got issues that can be patched with updates. I charge it once a week (a full 7 days). The battery life is AMAZING. I've only found one review that accurately describes the watch pro 2. It's a middle ground between fitness tracker and smartwatch. My Fitbit did not let me customize anything besides a watchface; it didn't do phone calls. It did last as long between charges. With the watch pro 2 you can have 4 "widget" screens in addition to the watchface. They have 4 spots per screen and they have widgets for each corner or a larger widget that takes two spaces (top or bottom). It has a "app menu" for anything you can't find a widget for. I don't regret buying mine. For the price point it's phenomenal.
r/NOTHING • Long Term Reviews on the CMF Watch Pro 2? ->The watch pro 2 is a huge disappointment. Probably the worst purchasing decision I've made it the last 6 years or so. I should have returned it while I had the chance, I made the mistake of assuming the issues it had at launch would be patched and it would be improved upon through some updates in a reasonable amount of time. It's getting close to a year now and it still feels just as unfinished and useless as it did at launch. The product page and what they advertise is so misleading and feels so far away from the reality of the experience with it over the past 8 months, I feel kinda cheated, maybe even scammed at this point with how little effort and urgency has been put towards actually fixing an unfinished and dysfunctional product.
r/CMFTech • Should I buy the CMF Watch Pro 2? ->after having it for a good bit, it’s a solid watch for the price. although not being able to respond to notifications is probably my biggest gripe with it. cool getting to see them but not very useful if i can’t do much without my phone edit: also the bezel scratches really easily. already scratched the outer region a good bit. but hey, at least you can just buy another, right? y’know, unless you want a flat one, which i do 😭
r/CMFTech • First Impressions: CMF Watch Pro 2 ->i've also found flat ones but none that are close enough to or look as nice as the original (i got mine in the dark grey color) i guess when it's messed up enough i'll just have to settle for the rounded bezel
r/CMFTech • First Impressions: CMF Watch Pro 2 ->Don’t get this if you want a good health-tracking watch because it’s nowhere close to that. The design, display, and UI are buttery smooth, and it looks great, but the app is a complete mess. Sometimes, it won’t even record my runs—it shows that tracking has started, but when I check later, it’s still at zero. Even when it does record, the exercise time only appears in one widget on the app’s home screen, while the activity ring stays empty. If you accidentally start the wrong activity, you can’t delete it—you have to reset the entire watch. There are plenty of other software issues, but I haven’t used my watch in over a month because it’s just not worth wearing if the tracking is so inaccurate. Updates are also painfully slow—we haven’t received anything since November 2024, and that update didn’t fix anything. The community has been asking for fixes, like the music widget showing a random ugly blue cover, but nothing has been done. Notifications are also useless—you’ll get an alert, but it just says something vague like “2 notifications from WhatsApp.” Even if you manage to read a message, it cuts off halfway. The watch faces are another disappointment. CMF promised 100+ watch faces, but most of them are boring and uninspired. If find a good-looking one, it lacks info; if it has useful info, looks ugly. Customization is also extremely limited-you barely get any options to tweak the design or information shown. And the worst part-you can't even save more than one custom watch face on the app. Every time you want a new one, you have to delete the old one and start over, which is just ridiculous. Instead of fixing real issues, CMF decided to add an AI watch face generator, which nobody asked for. It just spits out random dull images of hills or skies, completely missing what the community actually wants. At this point, they’re living up to their name: CMF – "Cheap Mother Fuckers." The only hope left for this watch is the Watch Face SDK, which a guy named Rapidzapper has been working on since February 2024. But even that has been slow, with no updates for over a year. So, if you're wondering whether to buy this watch or not, my answer is DON’T. Get a Mi Band or save up for a proper smartwatch that actually works.
r/CMFTech • Should I buy the CMF Watch Pro 2? ->Great looking watch, amazing battery life, simple but elegant OS, BUT the fitness tracking is pretty bad, i don't know if its a software issue or just an inferior sensor, but the heartrate monitoring is terrible, its a shame, its one of the best looking smart watches in the budget price range but they dropped the ball with the fitness tracking. Also, it's a bit touch and go with the connectivity to the phone it's paired to. I give it a 3 out of 5. I really do hope they keep this general design, improve the software/fitness tracking and keep it sub $100 USD. it would easily be a 4.5/5 experience for me.
r/CMFTech • Should I buy the CMF Watch Pro 2? ->Mine arrives by next week. I’ll have a review then. I think it’s right up my alley for my needs but we shall see.
r/NothingTech • I need user reviews for ⭕CMF watch pro 2. Is there anyone who can help me providing some info.👽 ->It’s actually been terrific. I don’t have any issues pairing and I’ve hooked it to both the nothing phone 2 and the 15 pro max
r/NothingTech • I need user reviews for ⭕CMF watch pro 2. Is there anyone who can help me providing some info.👽 ->Yeah I’ve not experienced any of that. When it’s connected to my iPhone the iMessages don’t show up but that’s to be expected. When it’s connected to my NP2 everything comes through.
r/NothingTech • I need user reviews for ⭕CMF watch pro 2. Is there anyone who can help me providing some info.👽 ->As everything in life it has its Pros and Cons, you don't need the app open in the background (for android at least), just make sure your bluetooth doesn't lose the connection. The sensors aren't great, the step counter works fine, the gps is alright and the Oxygen Tracker is a sham. For it's price point it's a beast if you value screen quality and design, there are better options out there for this price point if you want to use it for health tracking (just not as feature rich and good looking)
